Piece of mind

I am running a 166" track with all the windows cut. Good eye guys. Pretty sure any driveshaft from 2005 up will work. BTW, the weight difference is minimal. I bought it off eBay for $99.00 and it had very little wear. One caution, change the bearing on the clutch side to a rubber sealed bearing.
Sorry to get a little off topic...
166 ,eh?....there's a local shop that offers to refund $ and return to stock if your not satisfied with that track.
Have you run this track before ?

No I hav not ran this track before, but there are a lot of guys going to this track in BC and swear by it. Guess we will see.

Probably the best track Polaris ever made. 4k plus miles no problems tough as any track or more so. Have a local dealer selling them to Ski Doo and Cat guys
And boy does it work when the going gets deep..

Can't bring myself to ditch the new track quite yet but nice to know there is this route!!

I have the stock drivers unless you are wanting extroverts. I can spin my track easily by hand now. Try this stock with the track tightened where it has to be!

No it was the drivers i was mostly after. Ive had experiences with the stock ones. Ended up putting whal bros on my last pro rmk.

I put Wahl Bros in with this 2005 shaft. Much lighter than the Avids on this hex shaft. Don't think Wahl makes them yet for the 2013 shaft. Maybe they had a bad feeling about this shaft or something? Anyway a 2013 shaft with Avid drivers is quite heavy.

Did you use the clutch side bearing from your '13??

I have the Assault and they dont have the new driveshaft, so ill just buy some whal bros drivers for it.
Not really conviced that all 2013 pro drifeshafts are faulty, thats why i wanted to buy yours.

Just a heads up...

The Wahl drivers are for 2005-2010 IQ shafts only...

They use the same ones and "call them good" for the 2010-2013 Metric PRO Shafts.

The Metric drive shafts look similar but are about 1/16" smaller...

The Wahl bros drivers on the 2010-2013 PRO shaft will "fit" but will lack the good interference/compression for proper installation.

In SSABMUD's case... that is cool since he is using the SAE splined shaft of the 2005 IQ Chassis.

Whal Bros description

No-Slip 2.86" Pitch Splined Drive Sprocket , Polaris, 8T. Found on many of the 2006 to present Polaris machines. Diameter = 7.125"

The 2005 shaft has the same spline dimensions as the 2006-2010 IQ's

"Present" is not an accurate statement
