Well, my dad was looking to buy a new sled for himself and I finally talked him into the new M8 Sno Pro 162. I did the research and calling around for him and we went to pick it up today. If anyone on here is looking for a great deal on one of these sleds I strongly recommend contacting Country Cat in Sauk Centre, MN. They were by far the cheapest place to pick one of these up and the sales people were outstanding. As far as the sled, all I can say is WOW!! The only planned modification for the sled is a new can to get rid of the ginormus stock muffler!!

Things are looking good for the Cat riders this season!! Now I have to get my XRS ready to compete with the new M8... Should be fun!!

As a Minnesota transplant myself (Go Vikes), tell your dad he chose very well and he will absolutely love his sled.

Although, I do have to wonder how much you two ride out west, since the sled is a full on mountain sled with the longest track available, a 162" track?

Regardless, that's one heck of a nice sled!

Sweet!

I bought a new M8 SnoPro LE 153 this year and my Dad got the 162 SnoPro as well. Your gonna love the new ride! I had mine out in the mountains last saturday carving up the meadows in 3-4' of fresh powder. Amazing machine! I couldn't be happier! Enjoy that new Cat and shine up the Doo cuz your gonna be trading up to an M-sled! :D

just talked to them yesterday and the '09 m8 sno pro 153 is $8999. Great price, but I just found '09 HCR's for the same price. I'll post where when I decide if I'm getting one or not.

$10,299 was the sticker on the sled and they did have a few 09's in stock as well. As for the reason for going with the 162, my dad is a big guy! The only time he will ride the sled in the midwest is when he is ice fishing in Canada, so the length is nothing to worry about, but it will definetely be an advantage in the mountains.

$8300 is the cheapest I've heard of so far. Good find! Since you already bought it, would you mind saying where?

Make sure they are giving you the $900 rebate from cat on that 09 price. $8999 is a little high. Here in Utah they are $8300 for an 09 162 M8 SP. And $9850 for the 2010 M8 SP 162.

I bought it at Thomas Sno Sports in MN, I bought the last one tho. Heinens Motorsports in MN is selling the 2010 M8 153 for $9700. That's a pretty dang good buy!
