not at all an expert but, im pretty sure they need to be some serious megapixels and, make sure you dont resize them from what originally came from the camera (dont delete them from the memory card).. theres a website that i have seen that will do them. otherwise, take the card to your walgreens..

just thought i would throw an update up here. uploaded a photo onto walgreens photo and ordered a 20x30. it ended up turning out really good. if you get right up to it you can see a little pixelation, but from a couple feet away it is unoticeable. i plan on trimming it down to 20x24 to match another photo i have blown up already.
here is the picture in question

it was taken a few years ago and i beleive the camera was an 8.1 megapixel cannon. my new camera is 12.1 so any future poster pics should turn out even better.

If you don't mind me asking how much did it cost to have the poster made?

it was originally $20 but then there was a 20% off deal so it was about $15 plus $4 shipping. i didnt think that was too bad. and it was easy and quick. i see that mpix site has wall clings like the fat heads. lifesized snowmobile carving shot on the garage wall??

We had some family pics taken in the fall and uploaded them to Walmart photo processing. It's VERY easy.

Got big pics printed. Like 18x24. They came our really nice. I think they were onlyl 2 or 3 mb sized jpeg files. Taken with a canon 40d. They turned out REALLY well.
