Pville was nice ~ ~ not epic by any means but it was fun. Took the girls for a little flat-lander ride. No big action shots lol but a great day with the kiddo's :)

Pvill was nice. The trail was groomed almost all the way back to dutch. The snow was pretty decent and the sun was shining. BLONDZ I parked next to you I think, I was in the singlecab gmc with the m8 and m7.

yep :) we were playing a bit of cat and mouse through Wasilla on the way up. I was wondering if that is a two wheel drive truck?

Like the M8 - nice :) Glad you guys had a good time in the hills. Next time say "HI" :) always love to meet fellow SnoWesters :D

P-ville

6 of us went to Peter'sville Sat. We tryed to go up the left fork of the creek at the Forks road house, but the trail isn't broke in just . Lots of bushes too. So we went up the trail towards Dollar Creek, and had a good ride back in the swamps. Looks like it's going to get a buch of snow up there today, and tomorrow...

P-Ville 18-20 Jan 08

Rode P-ville on the 19th and 20th and it was awesome! The trail in was absolutely great. Found lots of powder right of the trail and had no problems burning a full tank on Saturday. On Sunday it was snowing hard when we packed up and headed back home and there was about 4 inches of new snow at the parking lot when we headed out around 3pm. The drive home was interesting. Snow till just pass Willow (HARD AT WILLOW!!!!) then raining hard around Houston. The road was a solid sheet of ice and lots wrecks. Watched one car go flying off the road into the trees as it tried to slow where the traffic was stopped. All in all it was a great weekend! Kenny Creek is reporting 15 inches of new last night.:D

Rode Petersville today.

The Good:
- Got truck stuck in parking lot from new snow overnight
- Low 30's for temp but new snow is fairly light
- New snow ranged anywhere from 1-2 legit feet
- Great day

The Bad:
- Chaincase grenaded at about the Forks Roadhouse on the way back (actually could have been WAY worse if we were WAY back or on top of Placer)
- Just after pulling back onto Parks Highway it is raining big time pretty much all the way into Wasilla.

Incredible

If the sky would have been blue Petersville would have been EPIC yesterday. Ditto the 1 - 2 feet of legit powder (or more). If I can get one of the pics from my friend I'm up to my neck in one place. When we left at 5 pm it was snowing. The rain did not start till we got close to the Big Su. Our boys got to try out two new Summits courtesy of Snow Safaris which made them feel cool. Wish I could go back today.

We didn't go more than 3 miles from the kroto parking lot and had hills big enough to run the sled wide open for a minute. The snow was great, I'm wishing I took a picture or two....

I just helped a friend unload (drag) his sled tonight. He burnt it down 30 miles from the parking lot today. He said the snow was great, there was a couple feet of fresh snow over the base. He said some of the hill were wind blown but they did find some bowls that were untracked with good snow. He did say there were lots of people coming in to the parking lots when they were leaving. He said everyone was headed to their cabins because the word got out about the new snow. So parking might be an issue this weekend.
