Parking Lot Etiquette

How do fellow sledders feel about kids flying around the parking lot on snowmobiles? I had a kid hit my brand new sled in the parking lot quite a few years back. Luckily I had full coverage insurance and they took care of it. The Dad of the kid who hit me was a total A-hole. He would'nt give me his name or anything, I had to take his license plate # and turn that over to my insurance co. They said they never did collect from him, he threatend to kill the insurance agent , so they left him alone and payed out the 1,000.00 to fix the sled. The reason I brought this subject up is because I continue to see kids flying around the parking lot,With trucks and trailers coming in and out, snowmobilers coming in and out, and these kids parents standing there laughing in the parking lot while everyone dodges there kid!!! This really pisses me off!!! Is it just me or do I have a leggitimate *****?

Heh, yep.

Had a guy back into my truck last year; only been able to talk to him once. Doesn't reply to voicemails, "texts", emails, letters...

I'm real close to just handing his @ss over to a lawyer and letting someone else deal with this sh*t.

PLP's = ignoranuses. Just had a punk azz ripping around the "parking" area at Timberlakes yesterday on his piped Poo. Slid to a stop right behind me while I was hooking up my trailer ramp, just missed the rear corner of my trailer, then pinned it and roosted me. My nephew yelled at him, the punk stopped and told my nephew to "F" off - good night Irene, my nephew clocked his azz. Dumb kid (late teens/early twenties) was not even wearing a helmet, just a beanie and googles. His friend came running over acting all bad and after looking at my son, son in law, nephew and myself, he proved to be the wiser of the two and said that they didn't want any more problems.

No doubt the Jacka$$es are out there and from time to time show up in the parking lots. From my personal experience it's been more the adults than the kids who are the problem. Ninety percent of the riders in our parking lot are club members and pretty good people. Most everyone talks and helps each other out but every now and then you get the lot racers who need a tune up. Can't say it's really an issue around here.
Good to hear Bigrock that you and your son did a little tuning of your own.

What time was that? Sorry I missed it.

I agree that adults cause more problems than kids (probably the same ones who feel the need to belittle and insult people because of the gear they wear). Sometimes adults act more like kids than kids do, and sometimes kids act more mature than some adults.

Somewhere between 10:30 -11:30. My nephew is not the biggest guy, but a tough azz if pushed. Races baja trucks and moto cross and has very little tolerance for people with lack of respect. Otherwise, is the nicest, easiest going guy in the world, but don't disrespect his uncle (me) or tell him to F off. It was a two hit "fight", Patrick hitting the azzhat and the azzhat hitting the snow.

I must have just missed it. We unloaded about 9:00, didnt make it very far before my clutch blew up, so we were back at the truck by 10-10:30.

We probably saw each other at some point, started bringing the sleds from the cabin to the parking area around 9:15, had to make a couple of trips. Maybe you guys were the ones looking at my son a little funny when he was riding his sisters sled to the lot - it has a nice "SLED CHICK" decal on it.:D We were all hooting and giving him a little business ourselves.

I was in a gold expedition with a 26 ft pace trailer parked in the very south-east corner of the lot up against the snow bank. I had my wife and son with me. When we were leaving there was a group of about 30 that took off. I was thinking boy scout Jambree or something. Dont remember seeing a pink chick sled.

I was also park up on the trail with the hood of a black M7 open about 3 miles up the road.
