paid $3.64 for diesel today, what are you payin?

this sh!t is crazy.. $3.64 per gallon, 15 mpg, 60 miles per day...

fugg..

it costs me $14.56 just to get to work and back each day..

times 5 days a week= $72.80/ week.. :(

a couple choices. buy a vw diesel,or make your own biodiesel.heck you live in florida you could run b100 all year round.depending on the method of transesterfication it costs between 50 cents and 85 cents a gallon to make yourself.right now on average diesel is 3.50 per gallon..so in one year you are going to spend 3600 dollars in fuel.compare that to even 85 cents per gallon and you are saving 2700 dollars in one year.definetly not for someone who doesnt want to get thier hands dirty, but a huge savings.

Lucky you.

:beer;:DQuit Bitcchin and pay.

Or better yet, stop buying... that'll show them:)

Come up here, or go to Europe... then you have something to complain about,,

3.39 on one end of town, 3.65 on the other! Funny thing, gas prices dropped 5 cents but diesel went up at least 30 cents! Pretty expensive for a by-product of gasoline. Luckily I don't drive my rig to work and I drive the back roads to ride.

:face-icon-small-con on vacation in yuma today paid $3.29 at cut rate station,,,, big chain truck stops were at $3.39...............on the way down here paid as high as $3.65 in some little out of the way towns..................:D

I would gladly pay the European rates if we had their transportation system. When I was in Germany we'd pay 250 Deutchmarks (about $180) a year for a Europass on the train. Take you whereever you wanted to go on that. The germans pay big money for their license, cars etc. Driving is more of a luxury than a necessity. I haven't seen so much as a passenger train in my area EVER! I would have to walk at least a mile in sub zero weather to a bus stop. So in the US a vehicle is pretty much a necessity in most places. But with the fuel prices skyrocketing maybe we'll soon see an infrastructure change on transportation soon.

Threads like this sure make me feel better about buying a big block :)

It's 3.49 around Minneapolis.

Since I don't have the oil burner any more I have noted the last two fill ups for me with regular gas was $17.28 cheaper for the same amount of fuel. To the gallon I'm talking, not tenths of course.

I'm getting 13.5 so that is about 1 to 1.5 less then what I was getting in the diesel. Still makes me smile though that I have switched back to gas.

About a month ago..... I paid $1.479/L in northern BC..... thats around 5.62/gal.

Paid 1.139 in Canmore AB last night.... around 4.33/gal..... I fill up every day at least once for around 60 ~ 70 dollars every time..... I'd take the 3.65/gal in a heart beat!!
