It's spring and we are in the process of shutting down for the season. We have ended regular advisories and will be updating the Logan and SLC advisories periodically as needed through the end of April. We'll keep posting observations, so keep those coming. A few of us will be around and checking messages for most of the summer.
This has been a great year for motorized avalanche classes. We held 3 classes, putting about 100 people on the snow for a day of riding and learning with the UAC, Boondockers, and Alpine Assassins. We'll have a class schedule for 2014-15 up soon - it's not to early to start thinking of plans for next year and an avalanche class makes a great birthday present. Plan on at least MLK and President's weekends (Saturdays) at Thousand Peaks Ranch.
We all owe a huge thanks to all our sponsors. We couldn't do the advisories and education programs without them. When you shop for gear and services, check out our list of sponsors and keep in mind who is helping to keep you on top. If you want your business to be on that list, please contact us through the web site.
We deeply appreciate all the donations, observations, and kind words you have provided during the winter. We have the Greatest Backcountry Community on Earth and you are a key part of that.
Mark your calendars now - Boondockers will be at Brewvies on October 23, and the Utah Snow and Avalanche Workshop will be on November 1.
Have a great summer. We'll see you in the fall.
