P-22 failure on 9R

I ordered the mysterious installation bolt from Polaris. At first it was backordered for a month, then suddenly a day later it shipped. The shipment progress seemed to be slower than usual. Then last night it looks like the vehicle carrying the bolt may have broken down. Are these bolts even safe to have in our possession?!??

My P22 has balancing drill holes on the inner sheave. I wonder if Polaris balances the primary as an entire unit with weights installed? The reason I bring this up, is because it was only after I swapped out the weights to new 74g weights that I noticed significant vibration in the bars and particularly the throttle flipper. It’s mostly noticeable when riding a steady 5000-5800 rpm on the trail. Wife’s 850 is buttery smooth by comparison. I’m wondering if manufacturing inconsistencies are leading to variance in the clutch weights? I’m going to weigh mine when I get home.
Polaris from the factory does not balance the Fixes sheave, thats why you dont see any index marks....most P22 clutches are 30-60 lbs out of balance at 8000 RPM...the secondary is worst!!! I have explained why numerous times.

Sorry I meant to say outer sheave in that post. I guess now that I’ve had my primary balanced I should put an index mark on the inner sheave.

Handle it with gloves and immediately dispose of them, don't let it touch any part of the sled it doesn't have to, and store it away from anything mechanical - if not off site. Can't be too careful... especially with a P-22.

And wash hands immediately after touching p22 bolt

Just read this whole post. Makes a guy wonder if my new 2025 9R that will be delivered with a P22 should just be replaced with a P85 before even riding it. Can anyone tell me if the 9R has the same size clutch taper as a 2013 Rmk 800 clutch. I have a brand new one sitting in the box left over from a e start change over when the 2013 was new.

Need one off an 850. They changed the crank taper size.

Those of you have done balancing on your clutches, are you still having failure?

Having a corporation come up with a reasonable solution will never happen, they will destroy themselves first. I used to work in corporate America, the think tanks are a big clusterf$&k at best, most the attorneys have severe brain damage, although they think they are superior intellects. I feel they all need one dictator at the top that makes sensible decisions, this will never happen. Just purchase a P-85 and move on!!
