Tial M8 first ride
Got my TM8 out for it's first rip yesterday... It's rediculous, setting it set up was super easy... Tuning with the PL Box and AEM A/F gauge is so easy...
The only problem I had was I didn't tighten down the hose clamp on my fuel line to the secondary injector rail enough and had a 50 PSI fuel geyser...
That could have ended badly...!!
I ran it up to 11 psi, it pulled really hard, was pretty much springtime conditions so it was a bit tough trying to take my eyes off where I was going... Although the gauge pods are really in a great spot and easy to read...
The clutching was the best I've experienced, super rippy out of the hole, great backshifting, and love the D&D magnetic weighed primary...
I don't know if it was the bigger turbine wheel, or external gated housing but it seemed to make a lot more boost at 1/4-1/2 throttle than it did before,(boondocker 2871) and ran really nice through all boost and RPM ranges...
That Tial waste gate sure seems to be going it's job well... I watched the boost gauge from a dead stop and grabbed WOT... The boost barely spikes above the wastegate's set point.. I mean like 1/2 a PSI... Thought that was pretty impressive.
Well I guess I'm a pretty happy customer!!!
IMO they didn't leave any detail missed or loose end on this kit, I just wish I found it earlier or did more homework before jumping into turbo M's...
The service at OVS is awesome... Those guy's eat live and breathe Turbo!!
