Well, we got back from the West Yellowstone the other day and while we were there, I had a little crash. We were up north along Skyline Ridge with overcast, light snow and flat light, making it hard to see and I hit a creek. Well basic physics took over, the sled stopped but I didn’t. I ended up going into the bars kinda hard and bent my left thumb back pretty good.

It hurt like hell, iced it in the snow and kept going. Well it ended up swelling, getting stiff and pretty sensitive by the time we made it home. Once home, the wife made an appointment with the Doc. and low and behold nothing broke but I’ve got a torn ligament on my left thumb.

Now, I’ve got this gay brace to wear for the next couple weeks………..Oh well, could be worse!

It could be worse, you could be gay! Injuries suck, but they are a part of the sport. good luck on the healing.

bummer

that sucks, I hate flat light. brace for a an impact and-- nothing, then everything looks good and-- BAM impact. I HATE FLAT LIGHT.

Yeah, it's one of those things. It's not a matter of what if??? but when and how bad. This time, it was pretty minor and life goes on.

More of a reminder I guess to really watch yourself, especially in crapping conditions, things pop up pretty damn quick and get cha!

Flat light does indeed suck. 2 years ago, no damange other than my bride and brused knees.
