Ouch

Watched a .280 with a brake open up my lil brother when he was 17 for a few stitches. Was that ever fu#$@ckin funny!!! He was so embarrassed cuz he just finished off half a dozen rounds out of a 338 win mag. Catch was that he didnt know or understand is that you still have to hold on to a 5lb gun even if it has a brake on it!!! He tried to get me to tell everyone that he got into this big scrap downtown, nope was not gonna let him off............

My brother gave himself a magnum eye when he was about 9 or 10. He wanted to shoot the old mans 7mm. Split his eyebrow wide open. We were way out of town in the boat so the old man just put a butterfly on it.

Those 300 shorts are mules! I had a Ruger M77 300 win mag for a few years and loved it. Went to the range one night to do some shooting right before xmas, stopped at the mall on the way home to pick up the GF up a present and came back to my truck to find a busted side window and my 300, 10/22, rangefinder and boots (ya boots, wtf?) missing. So I picked up a 300 short end of this summer, wanted just a 300 but got a great deal on the short. Let’s just say it was a good thing I was excited to shoot it because when I mounted my scope I forgot to tighten down the rings which saved my *** because my forehead pushed the scope a good 2 inches forward…….A.D.D. saved me on that one, still got a pretty good red mark!

Seems like all the WSM cartridges kick like h3ll. I know alot of guys that bought 270wsm's for their wives and they were to much for them to handle. The wsm builds more pressure faster than conventional rounds and that's the only reason I can think as to why they kick worse than a conventional non WSM round.

first kill ever...threw the gun up and it threw back on me...split my nose, and have a permanent reminder of my event...was my dads 7Mag, that kicks worse than my .300 win mag...

I am a Range Master and the other day I had to get someone I work with qualified. We don't use shotguns anymore only M-4's, but he came from MN and needed to be qualified on shotguns. He brought with him an 870 Police and I fired 10 slugs through it to make sure the rifle sights were on. I asked him if he had ever shot a 12 gauge with slugs and buckshot. He said he had, but after seeing him shoot I think he had only used birdshot. He was lined up at the fifty and that first shot got him good, it was hilarious. He didn't drop the shotgun, but when he first shot, it jumped out of his hands. They way he acted I am sure it hurt like hell.

I am a little sick.....I love guns that kick, I like that kind of pain. You just need to make sure you have the butt of the stock firmly placed up against your shoulder. If you leave any slack, that is when you will get scoped.
