Organizing an act of civil disobedience.

Any thoughts on how to do this correctly so as not to get throw in the gas chamber by the gishtopo (sp)?

The time is at hand.

I fear for my sons future.

first order of business is to get permits from your local for where you plan to have it. and talk to local law enforcement prior to it so they understand what is planned and what is going to happen and why.

It is time we as american citizens took a stand to defend the values that this country was founded upon.

If we don't make a stand the government will continue to steam roll us in to oblivion.

What if we organize a sit in on the steps of every government building in the country and prevent them from getting in to the building. If they can't get to work they can't screw more stuff up.

Now is that really what you think that is what our founding fathers did!!! Swampy:eek:

first off you have to establish a firm line of communication becuase starting out things will be pretty hectic in the organization stages...i would suggest some kinda code that won't be picked up by an automated system that is used to screen calls and emails for certain words spoken or written. Once a key word has been identified the message/phone call gets put in a database then reviewed and stored.

What you are talking about would take big money. You would need a centralized area as a HQ. I would suggest a small town that wouldn't take much to buy all the houses up (this is where the big funding comes in) Of course the cost could be offset a little bit by other people who feel the same as you by 'moving' to this town. One reason I suggest a small town is becuase you would need to become self sufficient. Farmers, livestock handlers, water personnel etc.

It would take a bit of time but you get enough people to start it up, wouldnt take much to get it going.

I don't think building a community of like thinking conservstives is practical or necessary, after all there are millions of conservatives out there who might not like your area or town. It actually was tried by Lt. Col. Bo Gritz in Idaho but did not really take off. I have and do know many who I would trust with my life and can work with on most issues but I could never live to near to them. One of the traits of a true conservative is rugged individualism which does not match with group living, comunism, and no one actually thinks exactly as you do or I do so tensions are always created with to close associations over time. Mtm7 I think hits the nail on the head in a different thread:

no we need to infuse, constantly, truth into the culture. that is the only way to turn this ship around... if we, conservatives, dont band together and take the culture back it does not matter who multiplys they will all be like minded, ie, poor, stupid etc.

i'm not talking about creating a community of conservatives....it would be more like a FOB where missions would be run out of....not once did i say 'start a community' that is a rediculous idea.

Well It will help keep you out of jail when you stage a protest or demonstration of some sort.

Besides he's gonna have to stay out of jail and go back to work so the tax dollars keep rolling in to pay for all the BS the wackadoo dems are pushing through.

And no that's not what I think our founding fathers did and I'm actually fairly well educated on the subject (and not just the brain washing they give you in the public schools filled with as much myth and fairy tale as fact).

But until it comes to a time when the masses are willing to rise up together against the tyranny of the govt, that will fail miserably and will only lead to more legislation and anti-gun laws for "our own good".

And he asked about civil disobedience not revolution.

Civil disobedience is the active refusal to obey certain laws, demands and commands of a government, or of an occupying power, without resorting to physical violence. It is one of the primary tactics of nonviolent resistance. In its most nonviolent form (in India, known as ahimsa or satyagraha) it could be said that it is compassion in the form of respectful disagreement.

sorry to burst your bubble but this will do you nor your cause any good these days... you will just be labled as anti american right wing wackos and placed on the same level as those who cut the heads off of civilians to prove a point. On the bright side, more and more people are waking up and realizing what is going on....I just hope it isn't too late.....

Exactly why I'm liking what's being done with the "Tea Parties" around the country. Raise awareness, get the message out in a proper fashion that the conservative base is not what roughly 50% of the Republican candidates are. Conservative Values need to be explained clearly to the people on the fence straight from the source without going through the media's spin machine.

I just wish that it would have happened before the Republican primaries and maybe we would have had a ticket with 2 real conservatives on it instead of a wishy washy moderate and a conservative that was made into a joke.

Don't get me wrong I was really excited about Sara Palin's candidacy but could not be excited about John McCain's.

I think if a few million people had the balls to refuse to pay their taxes to support the BS they are pushing down our throats, they might take notice and it would be awefully difficult to effectively attack such a large group effectively.

Jeeze, stuff like only spending money you have, personal responsibility, work to eat, liberty and freedom and privacy and happiness, fair and equitable taxes, State's rights, charity rather than entitlement. That's crazy talk.

It'd be nice to see some responsibility in leadership, in this country for a change.

I agree. (Although we may end up having to defend our rights/homes/families at some point)

Glenn Beck just had this as his main topic tonight:

"While the government warns that right-wing extremists could be domestic terrorists, and The New York Times, says I [Glenn Beck] could incite those crazy conservatives to violence, the extreme left is actively calling for violence!

As world economies go down the tank and unemployment continues to rise, disenfranchised people are set to explode.

The dangerous leftist book that could spark this is "The Coming Insurrection." This is a call to arms for violent revolution, authored anonymously by a French group called the Invisible Committee who want to bring down capitalism.

This started in France and spread to countries like Greece and Iceland, where people are out of work, out of money and out of patience.

Now it's coming here. The book comes out in English in the U.S. in August. I have one of the first English copies..."

There you go again Wade, making sense.

We need to get 10-15 million people to show up at every state capitol in the country and start throwing people out on their arse.

We hired/elected them, therefore don't we have the right to hand them a pink slip and find a suitable replacement? We would get better decisions out of a ouija board.

Why do you want to buy up a town and have like minded people move in if you do not want a “community” And what missions do you want to run? Swampy

My bubble burst 40 years ago I’ve had all the labels applied to me and take it as compliments
Once you stand up for you rights with any force and civil disobedience you become an enemy of the state and they will bring all the force they can to break you, they can’t have the rest of the sheeple see anyone challenging their power grab.

If your not willing to go to jail for your beliefs your not going to be very effective in your civil disobedience
