OREGON TRAIL SPORT

I find it funny, the way people shop these days. Come on here, and people left and right saying "support local dealers, otherwise they won't be there when you truly need them" and then I see most of those same people saying "I just drove 10+ hours to by a sled from so and so and saved $500. They're the best dealer yet!". I have never dealt with Michelle, nor do I plan to. From the comments she seems like a great person, and has a great following. But coming from a dealers perspective, I would and have gone to the shop after hours, and I'm talking 1-2am, to help out a loyal customer. But, if his neighbor that hasn't boughten a thing from us were to ask for that same favor, I would tell him to wait. For some, it may not be a huge deal to have a local shop, but to others, that shop and dealership is their life. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but just thought some of you need to think about how you impact your local dealer.

That right there is the difference between a Michelle and most dealers - she'd help , regardless!! And that's why she gets a lot of business.

She can do it all, replaced a tunnel on a 2014 with her help. Parts (lots of parts) almost always faster than any local dealer could get them to me and always at a better price. Which reminds me, I need a spare qd belt;)

Long time lurker... first post here after seeing this thread and having experienced the same thing first hand I had to add my .02...

I had the pleasure of meeting Michelle and her Dad when I stopped by Oregon Trail Sports for the first time last month while in B.C. It was snowing hard outside and the phone was ringing off the hook, but Michelle didn't miss a beat and handled every call with precision and expertise. It became apparent real quick she knew what she was doing AND has better product knowledge than most in the business. My first purchase was only a couple gallons of oil but I'm sure it won't be my last. :thumb:

And if you think Michelle's fun to chat with you should meet her Dad, he is hilarious AND a wealth of information regarding getting out to enjoy the local area. I truly enjoyed the conversation I had with both of them and look forward to going back.

Not me. I buy from 1 of the dealers in Boise. Think about it, if you struck up the same relationship with a local dealer you should end up getting a deal regularly just like you did with her. So now you get some percent off plus you pay shipping. Is it really a deal?

I can honestly say that I have tried to build a relationship with both my local dealers. It may be the people they have working for them. but, they don't seem to give a darn. The first time I called "Oregon Trail Sport" they made me feel like we where old friends and I had my parts the next day. The parts delivered to my door where cheaper than I could find anywhere online.

I'm glad you have a great dealer near you

Michelle is amazing. Nuff said. I'm a sailor and she makes me blush occasionally. Lol

Top notch service and great prices. She knows sled parts like no parts person I've ever seen. They stock a ton of them too so you're not waiting for stuff on back order.
