Oregon Hill Climb!!

Ha-ha, you guys are funny! BUT....Tedd just finished telling me that we are still going to Anthony Lakes......so, I guess we will be there!

Rob....we'd like to see the bar open. We'll bring some "provisions" to share. ;)
 
Climb has been opened up to unlimited entries 40$ class with 50% pay back.
600,700,800 and 1000. Stock, improved, mod and open mod in each cc, three entries min in each class. End of day dash for cash. Stock, improved,mod and open mod. 40$ each with 100% pay back.

is there a late registration fee at the day of race. can we park our trailers at the resort on friday. i met you guys at the loup to loup and pedro said we could test our sleds on friday, is that still a possibility .

It's not so much that it's narrow, it's one steeeeeeeeeeEEEEEEeeeeeep and winding long pull. Don't know what the grade is but it's way steeper then 6% and that goes on for 9 miles. Your tow rig is the issue not the length! Just like sledding going up is easy...coming down is the exciting part! Extreme-One took an antique motorhome up it one year and all of the stunt passengers had to be snockered on the go down. They lived but many puked!

OK it sounds like we have rented the house at the bottom of the hill again this year. It's a combo birthday party for Julie and Megan so debaucary is in order.

Come one come all...I'm sure the big tent will be up TOO during the day. I'll probably bring a keg of some kind of yumminess. They have the lodge open for food and they have a BAR!

Racing...don't worry about classes and all of that nonsense. JUST BRING YOUR $HIT and some entry money and they will tell you what you can enter with it. This ain't the World Championships of Hillclimbing! It's just good clean redneck fun! Bring some buddies and see who is fastest up the hill.
There are normally a few real experienced racers on hand with real racing sleds so the everyday people are basically doing it for sport and excitement. You sign up the morning of the event and this year they are going to try to start a bit earlier so that we can get through it all. Last year we ran out of light.

It's 7000-7200ish feet and the temps average from 20's to mid 4o's depending on the day. It's spring so most likely it will do everything from a full out blizzard to burn your face off sunny. In the past we were able to run sleds around on Friday or even the morning of the races if you need to do some tuning.

Trust me gang....just show up with your stuff and some money and you'll get your fill of fun. It's very very laid back!
 
HAHA! Rob - I knew you'd get over the whole girly "no bar in the trailer this year" thing! Too much peer pressure huh!? :) Thank heavens - didn't want to have to carry around the camelback!

So Rob & Janet - where's the wager here? What's at stake? hmmmmmmmm...... If I remember right, we were gluing the throttle flipper together after every winning run Rob made the year he took that class. :) So............. come on you two..make it a good one!

We do absolutely have the house rented - almost full up with sleepers, but there is room if you have a trailer, etc. to sleep in. It's gonna be a great birthday party for sure.

This is gonna be a great time for sure!

Well then we need a bouncer at the door...there were more people in there then they let in the Virginian this past weekend. I didn't realize we went to a party and that darn sled race broke out. It was more dangerous battling that crowd of drunks getting into the trailer to fetch a 9/16th then it was to climb the hill! You'd have thought we we had a stripper pole or were offering $1 lap dances! I'm gonna need a cut of the gate this year.

We have rules and entry forms ready. PM your email address and I will email forms. We would like to have everbody pre enter but its not manditor. Money can be collected the day of the race all we would like to know is what classes.
 
Sorry hotel F-Bomb is pet free! Slim I know you are funning but seriously gang...speaking directly to our crew. The hillclimb is not a good place for DOGS. Leave em at home! Nothing ruins a great day of hanging out and having fun like someone's pet getting smooshed by an unsuspecting sled, truck, or trailer.
 
Gary... the road really isn't an issue. I took a 31' class A motorhome up with my 26' Mirage trailer in tow. Went real slow going up and gravity took over on the way down... breaks were a little warm and the smell of puke was in the air, not a good combo, but we made it.
As for racing this year... I don't see it happening for Juli and I but we plan on going as long as Juli has the weekend off. Right now she has been working one weekend day a week and we don't have anyone to watch the dogs that weekend. We'll just have to see.
 
I am a spectator and encourager of drunken debaucary, not a racer! I will find some pompoms and cheer all you racers on if you like, pompom in one hand, drink in the other! WOOHOOO!!!

Dirty10 - might be good if you had those forms on here so peeps could dowload them and fill them out. I would be willing to put them on a page on my website if nothing else to help in that process. Email me if you want help with that.

Can't wait to see everyone - it'll be a fun, entertaining and eventful weekend!

Can't wait to see what happens this year! Rob always has something happen.........broken throttle, playing Superman, crew too drunk to help...............
