My key swithch and kill switch stopped working no my 96 ultra. Worked fine last night. Fired it up today and and to choke it to kill it. Any thoughts?

Check the single black wire coming from the stator. When grounded the engine should stop. If it doesnt, then you will have to check to see that its not broken inside the housing. If the engine does stop when that wire is grounded then you need to start looking for a bad ground connection.
There is a black wire with white stripe that originates at the CDI module. This wire has a bullet connector on it that joins with a black wire (the connectors snap together). The black wire connects to both the ignition switch and the kill switch on the handlebars. Check the bullet connector first and then trace the black wire up to the switches. Also trace the brown wire to make sure it's grounded to the frame (usually down by the voltage regulator). I've attached the 96 Ultra wiring diagram so that you can see exactly what I'm talking about.
