? on 01 600 ves into 06 switchback

long story short, i'm putting a 01 600 into my old 06 600 switchback. ? is with the det sensor can I trick the plug in the harness so it doesn't retard the motor? plug is on the 06 600 motor that went into a iqr it bolts into motor right below the head on the exhaust valve side of motor

can i cut and pull the wires in the harness for the sensor or does the cdi need to be changed? not really looking to cut the wires if it wont work
