Dang, I gotta scan some old pics, can't quite compete with Fuzz but my first sled was a '69 Skidoo Olympic 335E (E was for electric start). Dad had a new '72 Merc. My skidoo was only 3 years old, air cooled and bogie wheels so we'd fire it up in the summer and rip around the pasture chasing the horses. Ha.

^^^^^Nice!!!! My dad rode with Bunny Boots for years in the 80's!!! Said they were the warmest boots he ever owned!! Probably still be wearing them but I think they finally started leaking.

I built my first sled deck before there were sled decks. Got tired of the road slop on the covers and machines. Around 1983 and made out of wood.

About 1986 I made one from inch steel tubing. Actually a deck on top of a frame. I put a pivot bolt in the center of the deck so I could rotate the deck 180 degrees and drive off instead of dragging off backwards (like, carbides hanging up..) Wanted longer ramps so made 2 pieces with piece of plywood hooked in center for track. Ramps were hinged so you could fold and slide in truck bed under deck. Used for several years till tracks got longer. (like my 2001 600 mountain cat 136" 'long track'..Ha.

I found my full length snow suit from my 10-12 year old days.

I have it. LOL

Yellowstone NP December 1975. 30 degrees below zero F. Besides the snow coach my wife and I were the only ones in the park. My 1970 Ski Doo 399 Oly, second and best machine I ever owned. We broke trail from West Yellowstone to Old Faithful. 34 miles one way if I remember correctly.

Buffalo on the way to Old Faithful.

I remember this day well ... my parents would let me run the throttle, but never steer.
I asked my mom if I could steer. She said yes but she was running the throttle.
Then I asked her if I could run the throttle too and she actually let me. Rode around the meadow once. She hopped off, and off I went ....
4 years old on my first solo ride on a 1978 yamaha 340 enticer :) .... lol ... we had that sled for like 26 years until it finally **** the bed lol.
