I pulled my clutch (secondary) off of my M8 a few weeks ago to see why my back shift was so crappy and also to change my diamond drive oil. My buddy had to order the oil at his shop and in the meantime I got busy farming again and by the time I got ready to put my clutch back on several weeks had passed along with what seems to be my memory:face-icon-small-hap. When you take the cap off of your secondary to take the clutch off there are those spacer washers on the cap along with a rubber o-ring right, well are there ever any of those same washers behind the clutch? When I went to put it back together there was one of those same spacer washers as on the clutch cap sitting on my running board and I can't for the life of me remember if I took it off the cap or from behind the clutch. There is a fatter washer behind the clutch and this thinner one doesn't seem to fit on the drive shaft very snug so I'm thinking I for some reason took it off the cap and left it there on my running board. It is identical to the washers on the clutch cap. I sure don't want to get my clutch out of alignment. Thanks guys for any help.

thanks ski laxn, I thought so, but I just couldn't remember taking that washer off the cap w/ the rest of them....gettin old i guess:face-icon-small-hap

And the ones behind the clutch are for alignment. If you have an alignment tool you can check whether you needed that washer behind (or more of them) by checking your alignment.

BTW, no need to call yourself names. We're more than willing to do that for you! LOL
