I'm sure this is absolutely the wrong place to b*** about this but okay all of the sudden my wonderful hubby is completely obsessed. It has seemed to taken all of two years, but now he is completely consumed. I'm hoping that someone can offer some advice. All he thinks about is SNOW!

He started off taking only 1 trip a year out west, but now is up to 4-5. Each trip lasting 5 days. And the GEAR--F*** 500 for new bibs/coat (his old ones seemed just fine to me), and boots 100 or more(only the best for him-KLIM) and new sled last year 10,000--and all the upgrades pipe, etc--who knows what else (shouldn't you get enough with that price to at least ride--lord knows from the dealer my car did exactly what it was supposed to do with no upgrades), BEKIN, backpack, and now . . . . wants to spend another 900 on something else-- isn't enough enough!

Maybe there are other husbands out there who are doing the same thing to their wives and can lead me to some support group for Sledding WIDOWS!
Sorry for the reference to widow--probably made some of you think of the "widow maker"

Thanks--Don't know where else to turn!

Hate to do this to his pocket book but why don't you go with him some time, you'll see what it is all about. Then you will be addicted too!!!!

Sorry i'm pretty sure that i have the same problem as your husband. no help from me!!:D

Get a sled and become consumed.
Then it is all good
Never mess with a feller and his toys, join in

2 questions. Have you ever been on a snowmobile? If yes why do you hate it if not why are you *****ing. You never done it. So get off your butt and go ride. Maybe you will fall in love with it.

I get a feeling this is an alter ego
Would someone check the user IP address for a duplicate ?

so how fun would that be taking the little wifey out to the mountains with a group of 12 guys--you really think they'll be patient enough to put up with a newbie--and btw--he said he wouldn't put me on the back of his sled!

We take girls out all the time, and while they may not be comfortable doin all the stuff we do I know they have fun and none of the guys mind at all. I can't imagine they would be any different.......

well you could just tell him for every trip he make sledding he needs to make 2 for trips with you?to play is what we work for.. right? and if its not your thing thats all good but maybe if you and a girlfriend make a trip to mexico or something.(without him).then the shoes on the other foot.. not like i know him but better to be out sledding then drinking it away in some bar with some $20 ho ho hos..

riding double is never an option unless you absalutely have too, i love it when my g/f goes w/ me which is at least half the trips i go on. i have no problem helping her get unstuck, she learns from her mistakes and isnt afraid to try things which i think is aweomse. a guy cant ask for much more

LOL... Same thing with my old man only he was going every weekend. Made him buy me a new sled and now I'm worse than him. You'd be surprised at how patient the guys are and how fast you learn.

Try it.

Funny you say that! I'm sure my obsessed hubby will check the boards when he gets home from work and wonder the same thing! --It's not about the sledding, it's about the all consuming nature of it all! From Aug to May it's all he thinks about!

Thats what all of us on this site think about all year long!!!!!!.........

Hi Shwee!!!!! how's ol mag????
