maybe the kid wanted to stay in the car and rock out. windows down, tunes on he is surfing the parking lot...who cares.. it wasn't 100 out and the windows up.

In my opinion, in this case, I don't think it is right that he was left in the car, even with the windows down, radio going.
The child obviously does have a dissability and in this day and age there are to many sicko's around that would take advantage of someone like this.

Also, just because the windows were down does not mean he is immune to heat stroke, the kid could have been sitting there without water for hours...who knows....

as a parent of a child with down syndrome this kid should have never been left alone... my daughter is only 6 and she knows how to unbelt herself and open the car door... this is sickening and the parents need to be lashed...
