I have a commy pinko Obama voting, anti-republican sister that likes to bring her kids up to the cabin and ride ATV's. Now I have to admit, it was the family cabin until I inherited when my father died...and he actually bought the ATV's, but I have been maintaining and fixing them all this time. She has been relatively poor at contributing financially to the property...but she cooks and takes pretty good care of me when she visits. I get along fine with her...but damn do I have an ethics problem letting her ride when she so oblivious to public access issues. How do you vote? Let her ride? or veto her ***?

Who does that to his own flesh and blood?? She isn't physically hurting you with her position. She treats you well, but simply disagrees with you on some or maybe many things. So what, be a grown up and let her have her opinion and thoughts!! Be gracious, love your sister and her kids. Remind her gently when appropriate of the realities of access and use of motorized vehicles. This thoughtful approach is your best bet at getting her understanding.
She may never become a republican, but that doesn't mean she is incapable of changer her mind on access, wilderness and so on.

It's too bad she's your sister and you have to be nice to her, but clearly she is very ignorant to many of the issues at hand and if you asked her about it she would more than likely give you a blank look, sadly alot of these people have no basis to their argument they just voted for Obama because he's "different" Just another stupid Liberal, there are millions of them

what the heck, I will be different. I say pull the keys. when the little ones start giving you the sobbs and lip, tell them to talk to their mom, after all she does not think we should ride atvs and snowmobiles. if its good enough for yellowstone its good enough for our yard.

I think allot of the problems in this country are that the majority of people are reasonable straight thinkers but most are willing to walk on eggshells, sidestepping the minority of crazy liberals just to avoid confrontation. Why should we always be the one to compromise, they don't. If the hippie sister inherited the backwoods cabin, do you think she would let anyone, including brother to come ride a sled or quad? Let the kids ride! Show them how the grass grew back where they rode on it last time type thing.Teach them common sense and thinking independently when you can.

Let the kids ride but try teaching them the truth about land use, motorized vehicle use, etc. They may not understand being so young now but by the time the next election hits maybe they'll be old enough to see the true colors of people and what they're all about.
dude, hop off your pissed off train for a second and read what I read. if the kids can't handle 10 minutes with out the keys then then you have bigger problems then just land issues.
