Oiler bearly working please advise

So in the first 50 miles new M8 has only used about a cup of oil. no where near enough. First tank was premixed so not to worried. Took the belly pan off and removed the arm on the oil pump and tightened it up to whole revolutions. Now the idle line is right on the mark on the pump and the full throttle mark is about 1 mm shy of the mark on the pump. Will the 2 revolutions make a big difference? I will premix my fuel again for the next ride and if it is working I am sure the motor will load up and I may foul a plug but much cheaper than a seize.

Have I done the right thing?

Extra oil is never a bad thing. Those marks are there for a reason, as long as you are lined up with them, you should be fine.
