Is there a use for the sight glass on the side of the oil case for the two strokes? My understanding is that is the fill line for the four strokes. Can a guy use that as a fill line for the 2 stroke oil instead of putting a gallon in the dang thing to fill it up to the neck?

That's the idea... just fill to the glass. best way to go.

Any idea on how much oil volume the sight glass level is vs where you are supposed to fill it in the neck?

Fill past sight glass and risk burnin it down. There is a vent(in the cap I believ) and if you fill to high it will form a "vapor lock" of sorts and burn it down.
Be careful.

I'm talking about the sight glass that is about right in the middle of the oil tank itself. I understand the part about not overfilling the oil in the neck. I just want to put enough oil in so you can see it through the sight glass, but I don't know how much that gives me to run on for a day.

It will be fine for a full tank at least if you fill it to the sight glass on the middle of the oil res. actually close to two tanks. But dont run this setup low as the oil pickup sits up from the bottom a littlex i just refill to the sight glass every ride
