You want turns in, from the top looking down. Check where your setting is at the oil pump itself, below the throttle bodies - the notch on the arm and the line on the pump, they should be aligned, or the notch above the line - you'll need a light and an inspection mirror, at least. Cameras work too. This will tell you where you're starting point is. Mine is turned up ~15 degrees above the line at idle. FWIW. Just don't use turns of the screw as a starting point.
