Legend is probably one of the best you can get, if you can find it locally.

I use ipone which works well, not sure if you can get it in the states though.

Most common idea now is don't use a fully synthetic oil, find a semi-syn or complete mineral.

I use Legend ZX-2SR. It's a really high quality mineral oil. Once my sled is warm, it doesn't really smoke at all. I have my oiler turned up and run some in my gas. It's maybe a little more expensive than others but is one of the best IMO. Couple of friends run Amsoil but more of us are switching to the Legend.

X3 Legend. Good stuff!! AND the exhaust doesnt stink and burn your eyes like Amsoil and Redline oils do. This one has a very pleasant smell to it. Just icing on the cake . . . in my opinion.

also running legend because rk tek doesnt recommend synthetic with their motors but its spendy oil. Especially without a local dealer.

On a stock sled I ran Polaris gold for 5 seasons no problem.

Ran legend 2SR in my 11. I would also consider Redline, which is syn. Running VES Gold now for short-term on a new 13 and 14, will eventually switch back to Legend, I like it's pure mineral with a low pour. Buy it by the case or pail. Ran Amsoil Race/Dominator for many years, and motor was great at tear downs, FWIW. VES Gold tests well from I've seen, if those who ride behind you can handle the smell. Lots of decent oils out there.

I run the Legend... if you order 2 cases (get your buds in on it.. or stock up).. the price is really decent and gets to you fast.

I like the protection it gives me after shutdown that synthetics do not seem to offer...The synthetics don't "cling" to the parts as well as top quality mineral oils during storage or shutdowns overnight.

.

Legend.

I haven't had a single issue with a motor I've run Legend on, boosted or not.

But whatever you run premix 1oz/gal in your tank.

Cant be denied warranty for using a synthetic oil from amother manufacturer....Magnusson MoSS warranty act violation as long oil used meets same spec.

Owners manual states Ves is RECOMMENDED not required oil. Oil reservoirs is more specific and wording next to it states to use 100% synthetic oil and for best results use Ves oil.

My oil is jaso FD certified which is a tough spec to meet. However my oil is only 70% synthetic and that may blow the warranty.

Does anyone running legend or pricier oils think they'll beat the stock piston issues with this 800?

Amsoil does not recommend Dominator for your sled. I was told by them it's for race sleds, they suggested Interceptor. I know many swear by Klotz. We are currently running VES Gold.
