OH SNAP...

I could care less who wins the races because I do not race my sled. I had a brother in law that raced for both Poo and Cat years ago, it IS the operator, period.

That said, the Poo is the lightest by a good margain and, it does have a belt drive that used to only make it onto $30k custom mod sleds. You do not have to buy new boards to keep the snow out. All of this is very good stuff.

I might not brag about Walker Evans or glue you are having troubles with but there is far more technology in the Poo than the Doo. That flex track, bendy suspension junk, is just that, junk. Just a band aid for a sled that doesn't perform.

Nice inexpensive add that draws attention and passion. Good poster to put in on the front door during the sales season 'cause 90% (just a guess lol) of the buyers don't read Snowest.
It will help the sales team focus on the "pitch" during the first 5 min that Poo thinks will sway the customer.

And,,, everyone should be able to gloat once in a while.

bwahahahaha!

Someone needs to post this pic on the thread of 417 reasons to buy a Pro.

MSRP's 2014 (USA)
Summit 800-X Etec X 154" -> $12,499
Pro RMK 800 155" -> $12,299
Summit 800-SP Etec 154" -> $11,649
RMK 800 155" -> $11,399

MMMMMMM thanks for that but at snow check 2014 i got my 163 pro rmk pull start for $12,350, my quote for a 163 summit X pull start was $14,200.

thats the facts. no one pays MSRP

These ads are silly. I wonder what snowmobile guys actually bite on them and decide to buy that sled. I remember Doo making an ad stating that because it gets better fuel economy, that it will make up the difference for costing more and eventually cost cheaper than a Pro. Like anybody buys just on fuel economy.

Just for fun,,, (if I had the talent) I like to photo shop the ad but put in the Cat (just a personal beef lol).

Could get nasty or could be a lot of fun or the whole season lol.

There`s a lot of talented people out there, eh!

IMO, there's nothing wrong with friendly banter back & forth between the owners of different brands. Any level headed human will understand that the it's person standing on the running boards, the person back at the mod. shop, or a combination of both that make any machine seem truly exceptional.

It's when the people become convinced that the propaganda slung by the manufacturer's is fact & resort to ugly name calling or even fist to cuffs that it is evident that "we" have a tendency towards adopting the sheep mentality when in large groups. Not at all unlike certain discussion forums.........:face-icon-small-win

It's called "bench racing" to me and has been part of every mod shop-barn since the first chariot driver used cooked down pork fat to lube the wheels and found that adding honey to the oats got the horses more frisky.

The rest of the chariot drivers stop by at the end of the day to see the "secrets" and laugh and point out why it won't work and the benefits of the new "Aged Oak" hub and axle on the Pro model chariot from Roman Industries and praise the "Sparta" method of lowering the oats to hay ratio for the horses.

It usually ends with the empty grog of mead slammed down on the table, a big hardy laugh with a slap on the back, and a "see ya tomorrow, bring your A-game".
After the stable is quiet and the innovator is sweeping up the horse s**t he can smile to himself and know he has gained something because the other chariot riders will be "thinking" instead of riding.

I love bench racing lol. It's why my shop has a fridge.

ya here ya there I went with the zbors a arms and they are cheaper than stock ones and a lot tuffer

I always wonder what RMSHA circut would be like if Keith Curtis was on a stock Yamaha, maybe that would even the playing field, the dude can flat out ride.

look..with mods we can get more power out of all four manufacturers as well as make them lighter and handle better and better clutching...

so its not a question of "who is best"..
its a question of "why do all four fall short"
