Oh I love my job!! Got my first ride in out west!

Flew out this morning to good ol' grand junction for one last work trip after a year of working out here. Got to have fun all summer out here but my last week here I am hoping to finally ride out west!

Anyone know some good places to rent a sled up on the Grand Mesa? We got 4 guys, two of us including myself have never ridden out here.

Going to take a run up and ride for a half day with the guy we are working for out here probably Wed, or maybe Thursday.

Is the Mesa a good place to ride?

To answer the last question... most definitely... YES.

PM cannonman on here, or call thunder mountain lodge. Mark should be able to give you some options... and TML is the place to swing by & get a hot meal if you're not staying up there!

All I can say is holy frick! I have never in my life had so much fun riding.

I was a little intimidated by the hills at first but once put on a 800 Summit instead of a phazer mountain lite it felt good and I wasn't so intimidated. Now the hills I did climb I don't think were classified as big hills but for a newb it was big enough! Right from the Grand Mesa Visitor Center they have a hill off to the left that I shot up with the 800. I told the guide I only felt comfortable going halfway up but as soon as I got halfway I went for it and made it on my first attempt.

The snow was awesome super deep! Blue sky's all day.

We actually thought we had to back out (was planning on renting from Thunder Mountain Lodge). Then the others said we are going and had already set something up with Andy from A-n-G Guide (in the Grand Mesa Vistor Center). I tell you what this guy was top notch! Super nice guy and helped us all out when we got stuck. We tipped him well!
