Oh......fun with scammers.....(My sled listed on Craig's List).

Happened to my MOM

My Mom actually got sucked into this before:eek: She is a massage therapist, when the massage was done the guy asked her if she would take a money order since he couldn't find his wallet to withdraw cash. Only problem was that the money order was for waaay more than the massage. So he kindly asked her to go to the bank machine and give him the difference. While my Mom was at the ATM she noticed the money order amount had been pencil altered from 45.00-450.00. Anyway she phoned me on my cell phone all upset, I told her to stall the guy. So they go to subway and grab and sandwich. (The guy had asked her if she could cash some more, hence the reason he's still with her). Anyway he was pretty surprised when I came in Subway and smashed his head into the window and knocked him out. The guy got up before the cops came and ran, we chased him around the corner maced him and beat him with batons. Doubt he'll be doing that anytime soon.:beer;

scams

I work for the John Deere dealer here in the parts department. At least a couple times a month we get e-mails asking for a large order of filters to be shipped next day air direct from the warehouse to either some docking facility on the coast or direct to places in Africa and such. My parts manager started to fall for this once, but when he started to investigate, the credit card # he was given was stolen overseas. We get numerous memos from Deere reminding dealers about this type of activity.

We have also received numerous calls using that phone system for deaf people, that have a 3-rd party operator speak to us as the "deaf" person types what they say on a computer. They want to order a large number of common filters and have them shipped overseas (I think all these scammers went to the same SCAMMING 101 class on the same day). It has gotten to the point that we unfortunately don't accept these internet calls for the deaf, even if they are legit. It's a shame these people take a needed service for the hearing impared and exploit it.

We actually have a customer down the Swan Valley that drives up here to Kalispell to get parts or has someone else phone it in, because we never know most times that it is him calling on the internet system.

My parents almost got suckered into one of these scams while they were selling Chesapeake puppies. They called homeland security and the lady told them to keep going along with it, and she picked up the check when it arrived. She was pretty excited because it had been sent international mail, making it a pretty huge deal I guess. I hope they caught the guy.

Scott:

Try and get him to send you the "cashiers check" to you.

Obviously dont try and cash them, but tell him you did.

Then give him a bogus address for his "shipper" to go get the goods.

But make the address 400 miles up north of you in an area that is a total PITA to get to.

Then when his guy cannot find the location, tell him that you are so sorry, and give him another bogus address in that same area.

First give him the address as 430 Blah, blah Ave. Then tell him after he gets back in touch with you that he must have wrote the number down wrong, it should be 480 Blah Blah ave.

You will need to find a legitimate street in a town that you want this guy to go to.

This guy will spend hundreds of dollars trying to retrieve your sled from an address that does not even exist.

About three years ago, I had a scammer going to a small town in Northern Minnesota that was a total PITA to get to.

I even went as far as to tell the guy that I would be there personally on the third try and that I was so sorry that I would pay his guy an extra fee for his troubles...........

Bwahahahahaha, it was so funny to watch his emails turn from "God Bless", to "I will get you, you mutha........."

Think it through, and have fun with this.............:D

It would be funny to hear what they say when you tell the cashiers tell CLEARED and the funds have been withdrawn from their account.
LOL I wonder if they'd pucker up a bit.

i've tried doing that but they never responded back. wasn't as much fun as you had haha

I hate to say it but most of these scammer losers can't even speak proper English. They should just find real jobs or scam their own people.

I just read that story and a few on 419eater!!! That is some funny $hit. One on 419eater actually talked the guy into carving a bust out of wood that looked like him and then made him film a scene from Monty Python w/ amateur actors and sent to him all for the promise of $100,000. Pretty good to see these scammers getting scammed. ha ha ha
