Scott. Had the same thing happen to me with a sled for sale, I asked the same questions and heard nothing back.

I had the same thing happen to me on ebay, my buddy listed his bike on ebay and I won the auction and payed him..... then some other jackazz sent me an email and said that if I did not pay him he was going to give me bad feed back on my ebay account, since I already knew I paid for it I asked for his info and the jackazz sent it to me!!!!! I reported his azz to ebay and they busted him.......... LMAO he wasn't a very good scammer

How about giving him the address of the White House and see if Big Daddy O recieves the payment.

;) did this with a quad I was looking at buying, kept the guy going for about 7 emails and 6 + days, he was in England and in the air force, but the quad was in az, and he would have his buddies pick it up on an air force plane and bring it to mc cord where I could pick it up....had not heard of one like this before, had a different scam tho................

way to not get scamed guys!

its really silly how dumb some of them are, and people must fall for it all the time as it works very well.

hmm sounds like the guy that tried to sell me a turbo nytro from south africa

he just wanted my information first tho:beer;

i had one do the same thing to me just before christmas. I had hound puppies on craigs list, someone calls me through a computer text translation service where they type text and this service repeats it verbaly over the phone. anyway this guy from "texas" wants the pup so he wants phone # address, zip, my full name and his agent will pick up the pup and he will send me a money order so i had to call BS on that one

Way to keep the radar working. Selling a boat on CL right now got an email from a azzhat who wanted to send a much larger cheque than the value of the boat. Odds of that cheque clearing???

This is a serious deal! I posted some items on Craigs List that were worth $4,400. That very night I watched a program on Dateline about these scammers in Africa. They write you a check for too much and want you to send the extra back. Well first of all their check is bad so you are humped! Then they request that you deposit their funds and then return the extra $1,000 to some adress.
Well low and behold the next day I have a person requesting all sorts of personal info and that the check has been sent out for $5,400 and I am to send back the extra funds! I am to send the parts to a certain location where it would be picked up and yada yada yada.
I responded, stating that since this particular person was aledgedly located in Montana I would deliver the parts for free.

No responce.........freaked us out a little

Talking of scams, i found this listed in the bargain finder. I am going to email him to see what type of response i get.:)

I looked into a Hemi Charger a few years back on e-bay and was asked to send a check to a bank in Hungary. After the check cleared they would ship the car to my door step....

Yeah, everytime I post a sled or something like that on CL, I pretty much always get a scammer that tries to fish but, I never bite but, just play along with him (couple emails) and thats another reason why I created another email account just for using, CL. :)

So.. I had a semi trailer for sale for $14000.00 a few years ago..Someone contacted me and wanted same thing check for more money will send a shipper..give me your info so we can send you a check... My info was..

Stu Pidazzholes
Box........

They sent me a a check for $20,000.00 made out to Stu Pidazzholes..I called the FBI and after they got done laughing they said they could do nothing because I didn't get ripped off... I got a email once asking for the trailer and money and never heard from them again.....

This type of thing has been going on for years now. I have actually had them email the shop I work at and ask to buy like 1000 spark plugs, and a few other random things like 10 Arai helmets and stuff like that. Then they say you need to ship them to some place, but then their friend will pay from this other country. So keep in mind they are not targeting just the consumer but the shops as well.

You wouldn't believe the amount of emails I get per month wanting me to supply a large quantity of parts to china. They happen to have their own shipping company.

I had this happen once with a dirt bike exhaust I was selling... I was out of town and my wife fielded an email and the person ended up sending me some money orders... 3x$800 and change money orders for a $100 exhaust! I knew what was up, so I kept the people on the hook for about a week... "sorry couldn't make it to the bank today", "sorry was gone for the weekend"... finally sent them an email saying that I took the money orders to the bank, they were identified as counterfiet, and the police were taking it from there. Never heard from them again... strange :D

Looks like one stolen from a fellow I know. Is it black? where is it located/advertised? he had just rebuilt the motor and new turbo.
