OEM Front Suspension Upgrade Kit for 2014/2015 Yamaha Vipers

I couldn't wait for Yamaha any longer.. So I ordered the Zbroz kit. I will use this sled for much more than just playing so the added stability of the 38 inch kit will be much needed. I know I'll probably regret it on the days we are just out messing around.. but I think the new spindle and castor angle is what is really going to do the trick. I hope anyways! haha.

BTW Zbroz has a 36 inch kit as well. They use the Arctic cat spindle.

I went the same route. I think the new spindle is a good improvement.Ask them about there 10% off for forum members.
I also got a new rear shock and front skid spring and there KISS coupler all 10%off great deal good guys to deal with.
Tar.

I went z-broz stayed 38'' no shock mod needed, new upper arms, 16 spindle and ball joints , had parts last week while in vegas for monster cup, no waiting great service as always :biggrin1:

yes they are supposed to be shortened 1 inch, but if you have floats.i have been told & read that you will just need to run a bit less pressure & they will work fine.

Just my opinion from testing last year, but when you use the 38" length shocks it increases the ride height and causes the sled to not handle as good as it does with the shortened shocks. I had guys that did it and said it was fine, but I did not like it at all and believe they should be shortened. We can do it here if anyone needs it done and they you don't lose effective stroke do to the spacer. You will lose travel either way.

The part numbers are on Ronnies Microfiche.

Yamaha also has part numbers out on their website for the 141 MTX.. which just so happens to be NOT a 36 inch stance.

From what I've been told the 38 inch panels out pretty bad now, so the 36 is going to be that much worse.. What's your thoughts on that?

Will be interested to see what he has to say.

Sadly Yamaha is not here at the Salt Lake City Snowshow to go look at the new goodies.

But the front ends on the new Cat's suggest this will be a nice upgrade.

I checked my pm box and did not see anything from you, so if you sent one give it another go.

I have not seen a panel out problem on the 38" stance and I thought the 36 sidehills even better. Deep bottomless powder you can feel you panels dragging, but I feel that on ALL sleds in these conditions. For technical riding the 36 is the way to go for ME. 38 is the Goldy Locks of the crew, and 40 is just too wide for mountain use, but works great on the trail.

so the new shock length is 16.5?if so nytro shocks should be close as a option, mite be a bit stiff do to more weight on nose of nytro.

I'm sorry, I wasn't really directing that question at him.. but everyone.

The reason I ask is because I was talking to a friend of mine the other day who bought a XF1100T and put the 38 inch wide stance on it (I believe she was 42 or 40 stock) and a 2.25 lug track. He said she drags a lot in the deep snow on her side panels. I haven't really driven one yet, so I cant agree or disagree with this. He said he could see the 36 inch wide just dragging in the snow all the time.. The B&M Manufacturing boards would probably help quite a bit with sucking in the side panels... If they work on a viper. I'm not entirely sure, with the oil tank stuck out as far as it is.

Nope, been there done that....1 inch is a mile on fox floats. I sent mine to racinstation to shorten.
