OE Rentals

Just wanted to post a note to everyone, I just got back from the Snowies with the 3 Float air bags we rented from OE Rentals. These guys were great to deal with as we changed our dates right before we went and they got the bags to me in plenty of time for the trip, the bags looked just like new. Those guys were great to work with! The one thing I would caution you all about, we were 900 miles from the mountains when we left to go ride and found several scuba shops on the way out, but were never able to find someone to fill the air bottles all the way to our destination. We should have rented the adapter for the scuba shops instead of assuming they would have them. I even spent 30 minutes on the phone with BCA customer support trying to find a fill station and our only option was a 200 mile detour to a fill station. I would rent from OE Rentals again and will but I will be better prepared to get the bottles filled.
I hope this helps. Russ

FLOAT REFILL

Is there any interest in Float Refill around Union Pass/Togwotee? I couldn't find a refill station back home so I bought the refill kit from BCA. Don't have a scuba tank yet, but if there was some refill interest in this area I would buy some tanks and set it up in Union Pass area. You need steel tanks to get up to pressure and one 85cf tank will only refill 2or3 Float bottles, so I would need 3 scuba tanks to do it some what effiently. Working with dive shop back home to get a rental tank for my personal use. If I see some interest here I get a couple more.

First - thanks for the kind words regarding our service.

gffdc1045 - after we spoke the other day concerning your problems finding a place for a fill, but also finding a number of scuba shops, we decided to purchase a few scuba/paintball fill adapters, and to offer them to airbag renters for a few extra dollars. That way you can rent the airbag, and adapter, and take it along with you, and any scuba shop can then fill your cylinder off a scuba tank. Hopefully that will make it easier for at least some of our customers.

We also include a customer refill kit (allen wrench, o-rings, ec) with each rental, so that you can replace the seals when you refill - our cylinders can be filled the first time without the need to replace the seals, as we have them set up and ready to fill when we send them out, but including the kit allows you test and refill, etc.

Any feedback on what we can do or offer to make your experience the best, please share!
