Odd problems with 07 summit 800 151

This summer i just bought an 07 summit 800 and its having a couple issues. It has just under 2k miles on it. The guy i bought it from said it had updates on the motor to fix problems alot of these had early on.

I havnt had it re-clutched for 10,000 ft and i just got back from out west. ( clutched for MN) For some reason after the trail ride between the trailor and the deep pow it doesnt like to start. But when im climbing and running the throttle wide open it starts first pull every time. But then i trailride back to the truck and it wont start.
For some reason after a little riding in MN the rpms seem to stick around 3500 to 4000 rpms and it takes a while for them to get back down to the 2k range
Also it seems to have to started for atleast 5 mn to be able to go in reverse. I just put new plugs in before the trip and the clutch also looks fine. It also starts fine after trailriding in MN.

Hopefully for your sake it has a new motor other wise you are overdue. Mine got some funky starting problems and it was the tether. Ended up being the bottom post. Unload it out of the trailer and let it warm up, shut it off and it wouldn't start. I would check into that motor thing or that is coming.

Check your carb/reed boots for delamination. Need to take them off to get a good look inside, very common problem.

would that have somthing to do with it starting fine after running it wide open for a while. I could climb a mountian 20 times and take breaks in between every time and it starts fine. But when its on the trail its sitting in odd rpms and it only happen with trails in high alltitude. Basically is it maybe keeping the carbs clean or at the right air to fuel ration when its wide open because it seems like it wont start after trails cuz its flooded

As far as the warming it up before it'll go in reverse, it may be related to the 07 Summits not having a thermostat. It takes a long time for mine to warm up enough that I can use my reverse, usually like you said, 5 minutes or so.

had the same thing with reverse when i would get it out of the shed. found that if i left the choke half on it would switch right over so i could let it warm up outside instead of gassing us out while getting dressed.
