Observations on the proclimb

You need to flip your Evols around. The resivoir of the Evol goes on the bottom, that will actually give you more room to reach the adjustment knob. Thats what the FOX factory recommends for installation.

They can be mounted either way, and I have no issues turning the rebound knob. I have them mounted like this on my M. Tom @ www.shoptomssnowmobile.com told me this, and all he does is revalve and rebuild Fox float shocks. I'll take his advise over the stupid customer service idiots over at Fox racing. All they do over there is find their answers on the computer. BTW, the new HCR's have the evol chamber mounted on top too... there are also rear skid setups out there with the evol chamber mounted on top.

The evol R's are off now anyway. Either getting them revalved to 2012 specs or just buying new ones when they come out.

Havent ran a snow flap for 3 years now on my m1000's and turbo M8. Got the m1000 hot once riding up a 8% slope on dry pavement, over a 1/4 mile and had to stop for a few minutes.

I really like the look of the new M, but that front bumper looks like they dug through the scrap bin at the last minute. Is it going to hold up to much of a hit? Looks like it was built to crumple. Should be a killing to be made replacing those with something that works and looks decent. Something that flows with those nice lines.

Here's a question that has never been asked to the mfgr's? At what rider weight and size have these machines been idealy designed for? 180 lbs. 5 ft. 10" tall etc.... Where do they balance out the best between mfgr's of these sleds? I bet we may never get the truth as each person will vary! But there has to be some std. they go by to determine this?

I agree totally. When I bought my '01 800 RMK, the rear torsion springs were way too light. Reading the owner's manual, I found that Polaris says if you're over 150 lbs, you will need optional heavier springs. How many guys riding an 800 with all their gear on are less than 150 lbs. ????

I am putting on the sport bumper first thing. IMO the airbox/hood needs some sort of protection around it. Will also help for an extra hand hold when your getting the sled unstuck. I'm sure Skinz and other companies will come out with stronger aftermarket options soon enough.

Throttle cable play

Just a heads up, some of you 800 proclimb guys might want to check the throttle cable play. My throttle bodies were definitely not opening up all the way and I had to adjust the play in the cable. Very easy to do, takes a minute with 8mm and 10mm wrenches once you have the hood off. All is good now.

Pray for snow!!!

Now you did it, probably voided the warranty, to bad you will never need it anyway.

Whats the best way to get the bottom intake screens (frogskinz) to stay on? Around the bends they are not sticking.

probably use heat....little sand paper on the hood surface could help..

post a pic of where you are putting the frogskinz...I am not picturing it

This is one great improvement over M sled right there. It is way easier to adjust the throttle cable freeplay on the Proclimb.

Sounds like dealers are really earning that PDI charge.......loose front bumpers? Throttle cable out of adjustment, really? I'd be a bit red in the face if I had customers picking up after my techs.

took the new proclimb for a ride today exclamation

It was awesome! It handled like a dream, sidehilled be like a mountain goat, and climbed like you wouldn't believe. Its way out climbed all the poo pros in our group. Downhill powder turns Where a dream compared to that old m chassis.

Too bad the whole ride took place in my garage. I even made the BRAAAP sounds!
