who else on hear is a supporter of Obama, I think that he can do a lot for this country and take us in a new positive direction.

If the thing called OBAMA is elected he will take us in a new direction alright, but it wont be positive.

looks like i am dealing with a bunch of uptight conservative republicans on here who would like to continue going through what our country is experiencing right now, you know thousands of innocent peoples lives being lost in Iraq, our country's economy in the toilet... just small stuff like that.

No matter what the intent, political motivated treads are going to bring in the mud slinging, arguing, name calling, and just down right nastiness. Back to my popcorn and beer. There are already several for and against both Obama and Mcain. We might as well each get a stick and start beating on a dead horse.

arent these guys fun?:mad::rolleyes:

I, for one, don't know where I'm going to get my next meal from. Thanks for shedding some light on this crisis :rolleyes:

a meal might not be a problem for you but for many people who live in this country who are experiencing hardships at this time its probly not a subject to poke fun at.

You call 5.7% unemployment in the toilet. You should have lived through Carter.

its not just unemployment, its the housing crisis, its our country's national debt, as a country we owe trillions of of dollars to other country's, China being the one biggest, every day we are in iraq we go deeper and deeper into debt by billions of dollars. Bush is absolutely the worst president that this country has had in recent memory and if mcain is elected these same problems will still occur for atleast the next 4 years.

What makes you think that the thing called OBAMA will be any better?

I couldn't believe the coverage done by ABC, I only watched a snippet but holy crap they were pushing Obama

"it's amazing that only a few years ago we were listening to the words of Martin Luther king and look at where we are now"

As IF Obama is completing the circle of Dr King

I like guns and snowmobiling, pretty much no go with Obama
even with all the backpeddling and flip flopping he did when confronted with NRA

do you think you are being funny or clever by calling obama ''thing''. You are probably just another racist SOB who couldnt stand to see an african american in office, and you cant face the reality that things in this country are changing and that a white man is not going to be a sure lock for president anymore.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...you give the president WAY too much credit (rep or dem) if you think he is responsible for the current economic situation. If you're going to blame the pres for the current recession, do you also give him credit for the unparalleled economic growth of the last 5 years?

Greenspan is FAR more to blame than the white house, and he was chairman for both the reps AND dems, so go figure. The Federal Reserve stood by and let Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac underwrite billions of dollars in subprime loans and wrap them up in neat little packages with the rest of thier good loans, and the current situation is the result. If you want to point a finger, that is a better place to start.

Besides, if you aren't willing to get involved in politics, then you're just tilting at windmills.

But at least you cast a line and H2SNOW took the bait!! Fish On!! :D :beer;
