Been a hockey fan a few years now, the game wasnt played much where I grew up and our idea of a game was to go down to k-mart, buy 25 cent plastic tennis shoes for skates and basically what you ended up with was a ten man pile all sliding and hacking in one direction till we hit the rocks.
Lately I've been wondering if the Olympic sized rink would be better for the NHL. Seems like the game is played in a phone booth. With a bigger rink the game would open up a bit? Anyone?
Open it up? Did you watch both games tonight? That was firewagon hockey at its finest.
Oh, and the Olympic sized ice thing will never happen as the majority of the buildings have to house basketball seating as well.

Olympic size ice would surely open up the game. A big sheet would take the hitting out of the game as well and that would not sit well with the NHL

I should say 7 teams once Balsillie plucks the Coyotes out of Phoenix and moves them to Hamilton.
I hope your wrong I hope it doesnt happen but, im a true 'Yotes fan and Im sicking with them if they stay or go!
We need a new coach..
No, I was at work. What the hell is firewagon hockey? Ayone know what the players prefer..especially the ones that play on the Olympic teams?
Wish in one hand and chit in the other. See which one fills up first.
The Coyotes have not turned a profit ever since they moved to Phoenix. It's pretty obvious they were Jerry Moyes' tax write-off and there isn't much need for that when your other companies aren't making money.
funny, that is what I was going to say
