Nytro track change...

is it worth it? how is the challenger extreme comparing to the maverick? i'd like to hear from guys who have ridden both in deep snow...

i am NOT happy with the maverick in the deep pow-pow at all.

i had CR RACING take out my stock 153 maverick and install a 162 apex skid and 162 x 16 apex maverick track mounted in reverse on my stock nyro with stock tunnel and drop bracket change. i haven't had a chance to ride in deep powder but have 3 rides on it now and have tested in enough different types of snow to get a good idea of how different this setup is. the hookup is so much better and the feel of better traction is obvious. there doesn,t seem to be any power loss or feeling of and confidence in the sled is definitely improved. i now have the 153 track and skid for sale if someone is in need.

I swapped out the maverick for a 153x15x2.25 challenger from an M7 which was a HUGE improvement but I'll soon be replacing that with a 144x16x2.5 extreme. It's deffinitely worth getting rid of the maverick.

Jeff, I'm switching to a 162x15 Challenger this week. Let ya know how it rips!

I tried putting on billet big wheels with the stock track, tighter than guitar strings. I have a 159" but don't think the larger wheels will take up the slack, a 156"x15"X2.5" would probably be a fit with the stock skid, ya think?
