Nytro rad delete

Putting in a CR tunnel with the rear cooler on my turbo. Gonna remove the rad and tunnel heat exchanger. what is everyone using for an expansion tank/fill bottle ? Any issues doing this ?

I haven't completed the plumbing for my cr tunnel yet, but Chad sent me some instructions with some part numbers for the radiator delete hoses and bottle. If you did not get these instructions, pm me and I'll send them to you.

Didn't get my tunnel yet, was just trying to have everything ready. Thanks

Found your thread Thistle, looks good. Doesn't show or say what you used. I saw one with just a filler but am thinking it probably needs some kind of bottle, to allow for expansion. I am trying to accumulate all the parts so I can get after it and not be waiting and ordering more stuff during the job.

Skidoomutt just did this when he installed his CR tunnel and he got a used Arctic Cat 900 bottle for $15.00 Worked great. The bigger problem was the coolant lines that go to the tunnel heat exchangers.

Anyone use a Polaris one, someone told me there is a good Polaris one to use but don't know what it is from. Yamaha parts are the easiest to get but can also get Polaris parts.

rad

i just got done with mine, actually the 900 cat bottle is to big, I ended up going with a 90 degree capped fitting off a fourwheeler, this worked great due to having to run the coolent line under the angled brace on your stering hoop only issue with that is it rubs on your battery, if you stay with the stock one. You will have to get a 1"-3/4" reducer for the left side and the numbers for the hoses that chad has worked good, but I think it could be done with just straight hose off the roll. The yamaha part number chad has in his directions will also work you just have to get a 90 that goes in to the right side coolent line after the new rad fitting, only issue with that is that fitting from yamaha is expensive like 70$ cap, and fitting so if you have a cycle recycler in your area I would check with them first mine cost me 15$ from them, also get enough corrigated shielding to rap both your hoses the full length there is a lot of stuff that could potentially rub.

Do you have a turbo system?? this might make a difference, i have a mcxpress

any other question be happy to help.

Has anyone had a chance to get some pics yet. I've got the arctic cat bottle mentioned in the CR instructions, but I can't see a really good location for it. I couple more pics would really be helpful.

try to place it right behind the battery . thats where mine is , it just misses my intercooler now . I have an impulse kit though so not sure how you'd get from the tunnel up to the bottle ?

Chad emailed me the instructions and I got the Yamaha fill neck he recommended and hoses. Now just waaiting for the tunnel so we can put together and go riding, hopefully this week.
