Nytro nose diving

Don't like the way the nose dives. Following a track at lower speeds, like through the trees, if one ski comes out of the track it dives and pitches over. Anyone else notice this? Different skis maybe?

I've got floats on the front and have them at 125 now. Reverse the rubber bumpers? You mean drop the skis and turn them around I assume? How does that affect the drop? I just attributed it to the engine weight.

Boost wont fix it, it's caused by engine weight and rider weight, Nytro's are so far forward riding position, thats why its a more noticeable difference than the Apex.

Shocks wont do much either since i assume your on someone elses track, then the ski to the downhill comes off the track and falls over wanting or "rolling" the sled to the downhill side. Ski's may help. Try to have your weight further back and see if it helps. Obvious is to lean to the high side, but i know your referring to.

Cheapest fix, standing with both feet on the uphill boards. Band aid i know, not the solution, but it works !

Exactly Darko. That's what I found to work the best, just be a little more nimble/agressive and focused a length or better ahead. Weight placement on the boards really transmits. It's definitely body placement.

HAHA if you come up Sat I will let you ride mine. Then you can drop yours off for the install.

BOOST will not help, I was over the bars and on my azz before i ever knew what happened. My buddy is trying bigger simon's flex ski's, hope that's the ticket. I posted this at the begining of the season and someone said stay on the throttle a little, instead of coming totally off it and that did help. I'm still a little shy after getting tossed over the bars though!!!!!! Travis

I know what you mean with the diving. Due to the rider position on this sled I find it a lot more sensitive on the front end than my Apex. When there are a bunch of trenches the sled wants to keep falling in them. Best way is to relax and just stay on the gas but that can get pretty hairy with the turbo. Moving my steering post forward and dropping the floats to about 65 helped also. A clean line solves the problem, LOL

I've noticed that rider position and rider imput is everything on the nytro, if you ride it hard it likes to respond but if you try and be lazy it will kick your *** all over!

125 psi seems extremely high. I know it's personal preference but I'm a pretty big jumper and I have mine at 85 psi. Most of the Nytro owners I know are running 60-70 psi. Did you remove the swaybar? Maybe try putting it back in?

I left the swaybar in. I'll try dropping the pressure in the shocks but they feel pretty good in the bumps as is and there is a slight amount of sag. I'll try it. Was thinking skis but the stock ones are great anywhere but in a track.

Shes a rodeo at the end of the day when your spent........fighting it all the way back to the truck in deep pow following someones tracks.....what really sucks is going down hill on a slope not much help to have da boost......The big wide mf simmon skis help?

OMG, so true

Man, that is the truth. I just keep saying, focus, don't get stuck, don't 4uck around, blah blah when I'm heading home, just like that last ski run of the day...

Seems the longer I ride the nytro during the day, the more it starts taking me for a ride instead of the other way around.

It is an awesome machine when I've got the stamina and so on to ride it, but damn when I'm tired it's like riding a bucking bronco...

I think it's got a lot to do with the center of gravity being kinda high, therefore making the sled seem tippy. I also think that as I fatigue I get tired of fighting against the sled to keep it upright.

I also think that it is this same handling "performance" if you will that makes me love the Nytro as long as I'm not tired. This thing will just drive circles around anything else I've owned or ridden, at least for the first couple of hours of riding. Then after that I might as well go home.

Just to be sure, this is serious bottomless pow we're talking about here, not cruising from bar to bar sitting on my *** so there is a little more personal energy expended here...

Check your rubbers (wtf), when I got mine from dealer one was reversed. It changes the angle of the ski, if in backwards the ski tip is flat or down. If in properly, the tip should be up slightly. Also the floats are a great upgrade, I removed my stock skocks after the second ride they are too soft. The floats are great on or off trail, 75 psi seems right for me!

Yes just when the pow's deep...I guess it just comes down to you can't have everything you want in a sled........
