I recently purchased a 10' Pro Mountain Air rear skid. I am installing it in my 09' MTX. My question is what does the rear limiter strap do? I know all about the front limiter but need some help with the rear. Also does the adjustment of one affect the other?

Thanks in advance.

Factory service manual states, No. 5 hole (shortest) Less weight on skis; Light steering/ understeer,Better acceleration and speed, Favors: straight line acceleration, top speed No. 1 hole (longest) More weight on skis: Heavy steering/oversteer,More maneuverability, Favors: deep snow, ice, smooth trails, tight turns. Basically just the opposite of the front limiter strap. hope this helps.

Now that there is snow on the ground I'll bet there is more traffic on here. So maybe I will have better luck finding an answer. I do not have the manual for the 10' Nytro MTX to help me with setup so I am tuurning to the wealth of knowledge on here. I was wondering what to set the rear shocks at for air pressure (float 2's) ? I am 280#'s with gear.
Thanks in advance.

Here is the info the dealer gave me. I also picked up the Air skid to put in an older sled. I am 230 Plus gear.

I would leave the limiter straps where they are, Top holes on both. As far as shock pressures I would start with 60 psi for the centre and 170 for the rear shock, With your weight that should work well. If you find it transfering to much I would add more pressure in the rear and then pulling pressure outta the centre-only do 2-4 psi incremints and remember that you lose a couple of pounds everytime you hook up the gauge

You can start there but it would be nice if someone has the factory chart to post it.

I am the same weight as he is with gear, and I use the same exact settings on my Fox floats and it works great for me. Got to test it out yesterday and it worked great for me.
