cool, But it would have been easyer to go on a diet:p
That's want i am doing it's free and good for me, I am little bit on the junky side

agree

The hood allows you to create whatever venting you need and it's a clean set up (headlight opened or closed). The hoods were orginally designed for the yamaha race team i believe.

Eventually you reach the point of diminishing returns on this stuff and I think you are getting pretty close there. I run the Walmart 55W light on my turbo sled and they work OK till either the lens cracks cause of snow hitting it when its hot or they burn out right when you need them most (been there too it sucks). If I could have the stock lighting without the weight penalty I'd be all over it. On my Nytro I'll be sticking with the tough stock hood and light setup, if it was like 10lbs maybe but not for 4 lbs.

The point of dimishing returns started as soon as i started with this sport :D

very true come on guys we have 250hp+ i don't think 4 pounds will do a hill of beans. When we start taking off stuff we need we have gone to far.

but...250 hp isn't goin too far? lol
its all reletive...

isn't a 174 track goin too far?
isn't a 400 lb sled going too far?

maybe....but if its a blast to ride and your havin fun doing it, whats it matter what the next guys doing to get his jollies.

the only way a LOT of things advance in life and in sports in general are by "going to far".

a nitromethane engine in a snowmobile? h3ll, a nitromethane engine in a CAR? lol

i mean its endless...so i'll just end it.

Removing the headlight is completely different than replacing it. I had a similiar light on my vector and never had an issue. I also carry a headlamp in my pack as a back up.

Removing stuff we need is all realitive. Turbo guys removing the muffler to save a few lbs is "going to far" IMHO. Loud sleds don't help our riding areas. Changing out a headlight only effects the look of the sled.

i guess your wright as long as the replacement stands up,... like was noted before that his aftermarket light would crack when the ice and snow hits it then at the time you need it its broke

Just one more question with out the stock head light, how do you keep the snow out of your engine bay. You use the smaller light isn't there places for snow to get in?.

Sled, you ever have any issues with the light weight battery? My YTZ10s just showed up today from RockyMtnATV and damn its small.

Not since he installed it 1 month ago! its worked great since then. ;)

lol

I hope I'm not kickin myself for not doing the 10S...

Guy I know ran this all last season on astock Nytro and another guy in salida has had it on a mcx apex for 2 seasons. I'll keep the stock one in the truck for the beginning of the season

yeah i'd think with the less cylinder and lower compression [of a turbo], it should do just fine. as long as its maintained on the off days.

lots of guys w/ success stories runnin the 7s..

The 7s and the 10s are both small. There is about 2lbs difference but the 10 has quite a bit more power. Seeing as I'm at least 40lbs overweight, maybe I should get one, LOL
