Nytro crankcase breather fix??

Crankcase or Oil res. I do not loose oil out of my crankcase.

I don't believe there is a 100% fix but you can slow the leakage by running another hose off the breather down below the oil res.

Check out the Totally Yamaha forums, lots of "fixes" there. It seems most guys are just running a longer hose to route out near their right footwell.
It definitely seems to slow the oil loss yet retains the breathing ability of the vent. Some people are also adding loops to the line.

I ran a loop in a replacement hose in my APEX without issue. The oil just burped every now and then. No problems or big messes because I routed it to a non critical area. I have also used a breather filter which held the oil in but let hot air push in or out without too much backpressure. You remember that the APEX breather line had a slit cut in it? That was a Yamaha engineer fix when the line became plugged with ice on a test run. No kidding, LOL

Mine is extended up under the top or the steering post, with a breather filter like BB said.

If upside down for an extended period, it weeps a little, but its right below the bars and easy to wipe clean.
