Chad, Jay, Shane, Jordie @ CR did an amazing Job.
Took it for a maiden big mountain rip this weekend. Boost it Fuel system is new to me so I was adjusting a bit wrong.....but NM fixed me up and I got it going pretty good by Saturday.
Chasis is sweet and sure seems to make good speeed.

I do believe its the old rev tank and Boss seat combo like others have used in this application..around 10.9 gallons i think..
tis a rev tank.. it was mine.

just seems to have a little extension on the filler to get it up without cutting the cowling. and the capacity from doo was 10.4 gallons I beleive. its the dual pickup ones which rock, I never had a low fuel hickup except for 3 miles before it ran totally out, dry tank.

Yes, its a rev boss seat from couple yrs ago. Doesnt have all the ugly pockets, zippers on the back of it.
 
Cool build! I know it's fun to build sleds that are differen't, but what exactly is the point in putting the apex motor in a nytro chassis?

I was thinking the same thing. Would be heavier than a Nytro. On the upside the Apex motor is an awesome motor and the Nytro is a more nimble chassis. That's my take on it, other than cool factor.
 
Cool sled Randy! But, yah I was wondering the same thing......why? why make a nytro heavier? Nytro motor not enough power at 20lbs of boost? :face-icon-small-sho
 
personally i would take the apex motor over the nytro any day, Have the awesome power of the 4 banger and the nimble abilities of the nytro. the weigh difference between the 2 motors is not very much.

so could i use the back half of my apex...get cr's side plates and nytro steering/front clip/suspension? i suppose the inter cooler wouldnt fit that well...

You would be way further ahead buying a used Nytro then selling off the powertrain.
I may have a Nytro Chassis for sale with a CR 174 skid and 174x2.5 CE. It would be complete aside from all powertrain and electrical.
You would then use your powertrain and electrical, and grab the other parts you need from Impulse.
