nw turbo

I'm running a NW turbo on my 08 Nytro MTX.
It's the Garrett T25 capable of 15lbs.

Unfortunately I haven't rode it yet so I can't comment on that.
The kit seems very well put together and has a sleeper aspect to it as the kit's air intake is mounted under the plastics.
You can get the kit with the Garret T28 turbo as well.
One negative of the kit is very little fuel capacity as you need to get your gas tank cut and plastic welded to accomodate the turbo.

Fortunately Trail Tank will be starting production on a new midmount turbo Trail Tank. I already have mine on order!

Email Travis @ NW, he should be able to help you out with getting a kit in Canada and answer any questions. nwturboworks@yahoo.com

LOTS of new changes to the NW turbo kit...Mine goes in next week to get lung transplant...

they now have a new Trailtank built mid mount turbo tank...so it is a tank that comes with the kit, (available for purchase and will fit last years kits as well) holds just over 8 gallons...

it is a solid kit, that is designed to be ultra reliable, not have to be messed with, and yet maintain a reasonable price...if you want all the gauges and monitors and stuff, those can be added on, but are extra charge...

Am going this route as it is local for me, and also that it is designed based upon what I want, tinker free and good boost numbers to not have to play with engine, head shims, pistons, or new fuel system...I did not want to play with anything like that, and was willing to go less boost to maintain kind of the "bolt on performance" mindset...

I will be playing with clutching next weekend to try and tune it in, but have a great baseline already for the kit...

oh yeha another nice thing, is an undertunnel exhaust for it as well...

Here is a pic of the new tank just recently installed...

Here are some of a sled that was done last year...I wanted to watch it before I did my sled...this is my buddies sled...So some of the updates are not pictured here...I will try and get Travis to shoot me a list of the updates, one includes ceramic coated manifold, etc. etc.

Looks great and kind of familiar. :D
That tank fit and finish looks awesome, can't wait for mine.

I can't wait to go out with one this year MANY changes from last year like a
casted header
Trail Tank
Under new ownership and the fit and finish and quality has been refined to make it a very well built kit.

I have the kit also, it seems to work very well and has no turbo lag. I think it is only capable of about 9 pounds of boost, thats all I can get out of mine. It is definatly a sleeper kit that make the nytro hall @ss.

How are you able to ge 15 pounds of boost, I can only get 9 out of mine, do you have the bigger turbo. Mine is the 2550 turbo.

yeah the trail tank, makes this a real nice kit!!! if you did a different wastegate you could up the boost as well...might have to tweak the BOV as well, not sure though...

but the little g25 is capable for sure...and did you notice he is running race fuel so that helps too :)

but it is clearly a good kit for someone who does not want BIG boost...for me, 200+/- HP is MORE than enough :)

we are also starting a private forum in SledJunkies for the NW turbo customers to ask questions and get answers, talk clutching, and to share ideas etc. etc.

Travis is a great guy, looking forward to meeting him for the install on my little sleeper...

Gonna be riding in Bozeman/West Yellowstone area throughout the Christmas break if anyone wants to go for a ride together, and talk clutching stuff etc.

i have the t 25 same as 347 strokin this kit works well till i sprung a leak on my dam fuel tank but got a trail tank comming:D

Same thing happened to me, that's why I haven't even rode her yet. Tried repairing it twice, no go.
Just waiting on my Trail Tank.
It'll be nice for new customers to have the option of the Trail Tank.

well if someone can clue me in on how to get more boost out of mine I would sure be interested. I even have a boost controller and all I can hit is 9 pounds. I am also running a 50/50 race fuel mixture, 112 sunaco. I so agree though this is a dam good kit, cant wait to hit some steep and deep.

My understanding is that you would have to change the wastegate to another one...the boost is limited at the wastegate to 9lbs. and then the BOV is limited at 11.5...

So you could swap that out...

with a boost controler you should be able to get more boost than the wastgate will allow. check your blow off valve for a leaking seal and make sure it is installed in the right direction i have seen sleds that only had 10 # boost with the blow off on backwards they were the plastic ones.

The bov is a Turbo X brand and it appears to only go on one way, I have turned the boost controller all the way up and the boost is still the same. How much is a different waste gate.

Disable the wastegate (pinch off airline) and see what kind of boost you get. Leak testing the whole system may pinpoint the problem as well.
