NW Colorado forecast

Here is a quick video from north of SLO/Columbine on Sunday (1/15) before it started snowing on Monday. Hopefully these storms will pound that area - we found some OK snow, but the base was less than 2 feet in most areas that get any type of sunshine during the day.

Warm, with a slight breeze and stars, lotsa stars. As far as my eyes can see while in my driveway.

Hoping and praying...

SNOWFALL TOTALS IN THE HIGH COUNTRY THROUGH TONIGHT WILL
RANGE FROM 8 TO 14 INCHES. A WINTER STORM WARNING WILL BE IN
EFFECT FOR THE MOUNTAINS OF EASTERN JACKSON AND EASTERN GRAND
COUNTIES THROUGH LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON. THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL
FAVOR THE HIGHER WEST AND SOUTHWEST FACING SLOPES.

ACTIVE WEATHER PATTER WILL CONTINUE FOR THE MOUNTAINS THROUGH THE
WEEKEND AS A MOIST WESTERLY FLOW ALOFT PERSISTS. SNOW WILL
CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY...MAINLY ALONG WEST FACING SLOPES. THE
HEAVIEST SNOWFALL AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED OVER THE GORE AND PARK
RANGES UP NEAR RABBIT EARS PASS WHERE A FOOT OF SNOW MAY FALL
THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY. A STRONGER SYSTEM WILL HIT THE
MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CENTRAL COLORADO LATE SATURDAY AND CONTINUING
THROUGH SUNDAY. SNOWFALL AMOUNTS OF 1 TO 2 FEET WILL BE POSSIBLE
ALONG WEST FACING SLOPES SATURDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH SUNDAY.

They keep saying that then nothing but nasty, cold hard wind. This is the craziest year I have seen EVER.

Coming home tonight I could see up towards the Ears. Normally I can see them clearly. Tonight, the were were obscured, so it was either really thick, low clouds or snow. Let's hope the latter.
