Not even close. Doosh has no class, is a spoiled brat (that's getting more common in the sport) and has no respect given or earned. He can drive the car well, but I think there was more to Sr. Too bad most came out after he died. He did a lot of good off the track. Kyle probably charges for autographs, he thinks he's that great. JMO, fire away.
I was not an Earnhardt fan, simply because when I became interested in NASCAR
everyone was either a Gordon or Earnhardt fan. I am no bandwagon type of guy.
So I have always cheered against both of them.
But what I respect about Earnhardt Sr is the true rag to riches story.
There aren't many stories like that any more.
Most these kids have a tremendous support network, which is fine...BUT
They'll never know the scarifices the previous generation had to make just
to buy tires so they could race.
I agree with Mafesto also. Never have liked either Ernhardt. It sure is funny to me though how everyone thinks Sr. was so great cause he bumped and crashed people so he could get to the front. But when someone else does it they are dirty racers and azzhats and spoiled rotten punks. How does that work? Racing is racing. If JR. doesn't hold a grudge for what happened last week, Why the heck should anyone on here care? No I am not a great fan of K.B. and no he does not charge for autographs. ( I have one ) I like the racing that some of these guys do. It reminds me of years past when a driver was not afraid of popular opinion and he did what he needed to do to win a race. Look at how many races Jeff Burton has not won because he was just trying to be a nice guy, or how bout Kasey Kahne this year when he drove behind ( I do not remember who ) for how many laps and finished second cause of rain and he said well I guess I shoulda been a little more aggressive I clearly had the faster car". Well DAH you are paid to win races and I gaurantee even though you clearly got the faster car that guy in front ofd you ain't gonna pull over and let you pass cause he is paid to win races also. So move him the hell outta the way.
You really think JR is not carrying a grudge. He just may not be showing it. Patience, they'll spend many laps near each other. The big thing with KB is nothing is his fault. Last night half way through the race bad driving puts him in the wall. Wasn't his fault he says, a lapper wouldn't get out of his way. It was half way!! A good driver with a good car shoes some patience and works around it. He couldn't stand Tony running up front when he knows he's the man. If you don't like racing with less experienced racers stop running the JV cicuit. Or deal with what may happen. On moving cars out of the way, that's more of a short track style not at 180 plus.
