Nothing else matters if primary clutches won't stay on our sleds

Update: sled got short hauled out today as we got a weather window. We'll see what the dealer can do for me.

The "risk" guy at Polaris who answered my frustrated call last week was absolutely useless.

If there was ever a time for a stop ride recall fix, it would be NOW.

Good luck. I just had it out with them on phone over brake on boost and 9r. He asked me what I wanted and i told him a god damn brake that worked. If that was the whole system, so be it. Said he didn't think they would do it. He tried to tell me they only had one guy and they fixed it with a master cylinder. Told him that is bs and then he back pedaled. My dealer might just take the brakes off 2 sleds they have. Polaris is a joke. I do have a great dealer. Since he got me started, i unloaded on him about the hifax and being backordered and no clutch part with stop ride on the 23 that doesn't fix the problem anyway. Thought what the hell, i just as well unload on him on my crew cab ranger 1500 ultimate. Already had to put a dash in a brand new machine. Finished the conversation with fix this or I'm done.
 
Why do you stay with Polaris then ? Time to call it quits I would say lol.
 
I asked the polaris so called specialist where 23 parts were. Well they were supposed to be here sometime in February and that date has passed. Told him that isn’t fixing it is it. He was really quiet. There's a stop ride on the 23 and i told him we were riding it. Bought a sled to ride. Also told him that they will weasel out of fixing it if it blows won't they. Not a word. Told him im not leaving the 24 boost or 9r at the dealership. Look at your track record on the 23. Turns out my dealer is going to fix the 24s on Monday. Either robbing brakes off something else or fixing what is there. Said they have 3 more to fix. Good job polaris.
 
I know it sucks but there is an easy solution. Put a P-85 on. I value my riding time to much to worry about my clutch. I would never take a sled to a dealer unless I knew the parts were in stock. I had them do the P-22 update to my 9R and put about a hundred miles on the P-22 with Carls clutching it seems to perform fine but doesn't have quite the bottom end snap as the 85 . I’ll be putting the P-85 back on. The only thing you gain with the P-22 is you don’t have to adjust the belt.

I too was annoyed about the crappy 24 brake until my crank blew and my primary flew off. Now I'm just pissed off.

Good thing I have a great dealer as well. But I feel bad for them because the main brand they sell is declining in quality. Not sustainable.

@shattuck: Putting a P-85 on sounds ok until you have zero warranty support when that clutch spins off. So that's fun in a different way.

I'm still not convinced the problem is the clutch bolt, I think it's the poorly manufactured and unbalanced p-22 that puts crazy pressures on the bolt at 8500+RPM.

Warranty. What Warranty? My wife's warranty on her 23 would run out with it sitting there if we abided by their stop ride. Compound that with they won't cover a whole brake system. Why not if the brake doesn't work? What good is their warranty? Only reason anything is going to get remedied is my dealer.

I think the P-85 clutch flying off is infinitely more unlikely than the P-22 exploding in fact I’ve never even heard of that happening. I guess anything could be possible though. I’ll stick with the tried and proven warranty or not and let you guys and Polaris figure out what the actual problem is with the P-22. Im also ordering new ice age pre 24 style rails and I’ll fix that too so my hy fax doesn’t shoot out. Just trying to increase my odds of trouble free riding days the best I can.
