NOS for the XP pros and cons

hi guys

i have the boondocker kit setup on my 885 but have been getting engine overheat/knocksensor limp modes when using it after a few seconds of pushing the button

i am only seeing around the 4 to 5 " of water columb and it does not change much from the adjustments being turned in to be almost turned out, instructions show i should try for 9 " of wc

i also have turned nozels and checked my fittings for leaks with no suscess

called tech support with no help, does anyone have this kit running good on their xp

i was told the bottle regulator might help??, i am running high octane pump gas with a gallon of c12

thanks again, getting frustrated with it

I have the boondocker on my XP and every time I hit the button it instantly hits the rev limiter. If I run a lower clicker number it doesn't run as good when it's not on the button. Any suggestions from those of you that have them on already? I would like to get my rev limiter removed, but I don't wanna be out of a ride while my MPEM is gone. I am getting between 7 and 8 inches of water on the monometer.

IMHO, I think the trick would be to tune your clutches to get them to upshift faster as you increase the engine horsepower and RPM. Maybe try a couple of different helix's. Do you run a clutch kit right now? If you have a stock clutch I really doubt it will ever run right because they upshift way too slow.

spent some more time on it tonight and found one of the lines off the manifold to have a slight twist and restriction in it... replaced with another and bam i am seeing 9" of wc, this is with the 30hp shot and both fuel screws almost turned all the way in, so i backed them out slightly

hope this solves the overheat problem
