I deleted the part of the your post that had no relevance to what was being talked about just so your clear. I dont care that you don't care that people don't like you. You do what you need to do in regards to that.

Anyway, your a prototypical salesman (not that all are bad, I know some great ones) but you simply belive that if you say the same thing 50 different ways for a long enough time eventually you will get people to do what you want, or think what you want. Sorry dude I don't operate that way, neither do most of the people here that bust your balls all the time.

As for the work its absolutely tough, the toughest thing you will most likely ever do, the shifts are long, the work is back breaking, dangerous, dirty and fast paced.

You can be as safe as you want, but you can never always account for the people around you and thats how most of the people get hurt, but someone else on the rig not themselves.

As for being prepared, having that money is good or whatever but you fail to understand you could have 40 Grand saved... THERE IS NOWHERE TO LIVE... Everything is spoken for or full, housing cant be built fast enough, supply of goods and services cannot keep up with the demand out here at this current time.

Go do whatever you want, honestly it makes no difference in the world to me what you do, however I really think you have no idea what your getting yourself into or what its really going to be like.

On the off chance you do actually go and by some miracle get hired, and you meet a Driller when your out there that rides your A. and makes fun of you every single day of your life for being greener than goose crap you'll know your on my brothers rig. I'll leave which one it is out there as a surprise. But i will be sure to let him know about the possibility of your arrival. I dont think he will have any trouble figuring out who you are.

the only reason theres a need to explain things more than one way is when people just seem to be too retarded to inderstand the first way. and when the only responses fromthe very beginning are ignorant and insulting, i just assume theyre too retarded to really understand, and they just resort to being funny. then i have no choice but to talk to them like there little 10 year olds. that doesnt seem to work either so ive lost hope.

and you cant deny the fact that some are justbignorant and like to say whatever they want cause its a forum and it probly makes them feel good about themselves. since ur a mod u should go check it out i guarentee you see who are the childish ones.

lol you dont know my type. and my salesman type? BSer salesman? Not even close. im defintely the truthful type. why bullchit people? thats when people get caught up.

as far as the work, it may be tough, it may be something ive never done before. thats why i learn. the weather? ill have to dress accordingly.

preparedness? well its just a smart thing to do to save 4 grand so i get a place to call home at least temporarily. then my brother and his family and my buddy can come stay if needed.

ive done dangerous work before, i know how to be cautious. to reduce the risk of injury you just have to be cautious and work smart.

i dont care about the people that bust my balls all day long, because the real reason they do so is because theythought they knew about something long ago and immediately came in with insults and assumptions trying to be cool online and i shut them down. some just people dont like that. especially when theyre older.

Its been an ongoing battle ever since. they always try so hard to prove me wrong. why? noone on here knows me or where i come from, or what ive done , so what anyone on here has to say about me has no merit. Which is why i keep going, and going, and going, and going.

people don't do it just cuz its a forum, they do it cuz its a forum and there's nothing funnier than being a nuisance to the same person over and over again and seeing if they can take it. Although typically at some point the person wises up and either A) leaves or B) discontinues whatever action that has led them to be so disliked.

Prime example: Minten. He Finally stopped posting "look at me my parents are rich and here's a video of me lisping" threads so naturally I don't mind him so much anymore(he also gets bonus points cuz he has somewhat intelligent posts and sometimes hes even funny!)

i live in one of the boom towns in sw ND and let me tell you there is almost no housing and what housing there is most people cant afford. We have had a mild winter so far but if your not used to very cold temps, high winds, and deep snow than this is not the place for you.

If you live in one of the neighboring communities, it would be useful if you would list here what services (opportunities) are in demand.

There are many jobs near the oil fields that do not require 16 hour days or working on a rig etc.

For example, I would assume someone able to work on RV's could write their own ticket up there.

There has to be literally hundreds of other examples?
