Nordegg area?

I went and scoped out the trails to Sugar Bowl. You can get there from Crescent Falls (the longer way) or you can drive a little further and theres another trail about 5km east of the David Thompson Resort. There was a couple trucks there when I drove by. I printed off a bunch of these maps and have a pretty good idea on how to get there. A lot of them are off of the Forestry Truck Road and pretty simple to get to. Close enough where you can make a good day ride out of easily.... tops 2 hours to get too. I found maps of Rangers Creek, Onion Lake and a couple others aswell. It was windy as hell around Abraham Lake but enough snow to get you up the trail.

Soon hopefully. I'm on days off right now but I have some stuff to do around home for now. Maybe in 20 days or so haha frickin' work..... but that might be changing soon too, might have a different job in a few days so I might have a week off coming up after this wednesday. When are you lookin to go riding?

anytime, im a well tester so no set schedual, just need a few days to a week notice and i can go, i might be around next weekend possibly

IMO, not worth while, might as well go to Golden, Vale, Blairmore, etc, used to go up Ram/Ranger/Onion. Long rough way in, dont get the snowfall there anymore. Pretty dangerous place to get hurt too, take Satelite phone. We used to go in the spring after a spring dump. I would go in March if some. There are some bowls up there. Need lots of gas and good survival gear. Couple of cabins to go to if in trouble.

I do tours around here but as my clients are non riders, renters I don't mind and always looking for someone to ride with to get into these places....... was at ranger yesterday was good till the winds came and headed the hell out as we could feel the frezzing through our clothes and sleds started acting up!!! the trail was pretty good, but never got up into the top part,,,,,, started heading into onion after getting back to the trucks but only made it to Hummingbird, none had been in since the last snow.

Sugarbowl is a odd place,, wind blown but awsome scenery. The bowl had 4' in places and far west bowl was avalance possible!
