Nobletts/Soapstone

OK, its time for me to try something besides Monte and Franklin. I've decided to try to find Nobletts or Soapstone. I've never been, anyone got advice or directions, do's, don'ts, for an intermediate rider exploring the area. Correct me if I'm wrong, just go up highway 35 out of Woodland for about 8mi and park. Where from there?

C,D,E. Red dot where the E section is is the Nobletts parking lot. You can go up and head south over Mill Hollow or go straight and back north toward Mirror Lake HWY.

That is very general of course. It is pretty open up there and you can follow tracks many places. The groomed trail too.

Not sure when I'm going, thinking about this weekend but time is short between work schedules and the weather doesn't look all that great. Otherwise, desperate times call for desperation riding...right?

I'll be up there this weekend, but I'll have my kids in tow with the pod so nothin to crazy for us. Was up there last weekend and we could use some fresh. Snow was plenty deep but really consolidated hero type snow everywhere but in the trees. Good thing was you could pretty much climb anything if that's what you're into so we spent most our time explorin in the trees and creekbeds. Still found lots of untouched powder. You just have to know where to look
